pickAn older Anita Shreve, but the first one for me. Loved her storytelling.
so-soThis was good. It started off with a “bang” and I wanted to keep reading. Part-way through, I wasn‘t happy with some of the decisions they made – especially Nicky‘s father, being the adult. But I did like the way the book ended
pickI find that I typically LOVE Anita Shreve‘s novels or find them “eh”....this one remarkably fell somewhere in between at a solid like. The story is quite sad but does shine a light at the complicated concept we call family. What makes a family? Where do our responsibilities to each other start and stop? The story does take place at Christmas time but I can‘t say it put me too much in the festive mood! 🌟🌟🌟 #merryreaders #wintergames2020

pickAnita Shreve's Light On Snow was one of our 6 book club books for this quarter. I always enjoy Anita Shreve's books, and although this is an older one, I had never read it. Her writing never disappoints, her ability to tell a story that draws you in and makes you feel deeply is evident in this book as in so many of her others!
One of my favorite winter books. I can finally start recommending it again. ❄️ #snow #12daysofxmasphoto
