We‘ll that‘s good news to start the weekend vibe!
My Hackney boy has made it onto a postcard! If you‘ve never seen Luther - this is one instance where the TV show is 1,000x better that the book!
7-24-19: My 61st finished book of 2019! #luther #thecalling #neilcross 👍🏼📖#️⃣6️⃣1️⃣
I found the book much more darker then the TV show and was very uneasy while I read it. The author was way to good at setting the scene. This would be a book for those of us who like nasty side of human nature.
Hard to decide quite who's the most damaged, tormented and haunted: the brutal killer or the detective. Skilfully narrated, my audiobook version was gripping. If you know the TV version, you won‘t be disappointed with this. It‘s brutal though so tread carefully. There are also a couple of incidents of animal cruelty which made me want to fast forward. Definitely worth a read though.
So - they‘re filming Luther in my neighbourhood today. Sadly there‘s an Idris body double for the shootout scene. #waitingforTHEmantoappear
Doing a re-watch of Luther, leading up to the just-released-on-Netflix two episode fourth series. One day I'll read The Calling, Neil Cross' Luther novel set before the first series.
If there was an emoji for a shocked face on here, I would be posting it. 5 stars just isn't enough for this novel. Neil Cross ... Luther the TV Series is outstanding, but this book just took Luther too a whole new level. WOW!!!!! To anybody, please read read read this book.
