I really liked this book! It was super funny, and made me actually laugh out loud. The pictures in this book were amazing and the story was incredible! It definitely even scared me at times, and the cliff hanging ending is amazing!

This book is about a girl named Hilda who is taken to the stone forest with her mother. The whole book is about their journey trying to get out and how they can do that. The book ends with the mother realizing Hilda did not return back with her, but instead is stuck in the stone forest.

The first one of the series to end on a cliff-hanger! I‘m glad I have the latest book next to me that I can read it immediately!

This is also the first Hilda book that has Hilda adventuring with her mom, and I loved it!

#WeeklyForecast

I don‘t plan on reading all of these in one week, but this what‘s coming up next on my TBR. Finished one already this morning, but since it didn‘t make yesterday‘s #BookReport I‘ve kept it on here.

Well that was a cliffhanger! The first one of the series to. This volume we have some serious mother daughter stuff going on. Things are very rough for them and we witness just how tough life can be. Arguments, fights, and even a grounding oh my, Hilda sure managed to get her self into some trouble this time, but her mother gets involved as well. I love their dynamic it‘s feels so real, it‘s tough being a mom of a child who loves adventure

I had that dilemma where I wanted to finish my Hilda books - but also wanted to save this last book because, well, it‘s the last one! For now - I sure hope more are coming! Hilda has another grand adventure with many creatures and stories from her previous books coming together. And this time Mom joins in. Super fun, awesome art, and delightful mythical critter-filled excitement. Ends on a surprising cliffhanger so... more please!!

Spent today in the library shifting books and moving the children's graphic novels to the front of the children's library. I'm really looking forward to growing this collection now that the shelves have room to breathe. I'm also just enjoying how pretty the shelves are before any kids come browsing 😆#saturdaylibrarian #kidlit #raisingreaders

Texreader Perfect! 6y
BookInMyHands They look awesome! And yes, as Children‘s Librarians we have to appreciate the orderly books for the few seconds they stay that way, right? The other day someone said to me, “So these aren‘t in alphabetical order anymore?” I told her, “Only in theory, we‘ve had too many people sick lately.” 6y

Oh Hilda, how I love her. She reads books about rocks, she hangs bells on troll noses, she jumps on furry floaty things to get around. She befriends the creature that lives in the wasted space between your bookshelf and your wall. She is curious, adventurous and this blue-haired girl has captured my heart. A graphic novel series with a picture book trim size.

angrylilasian I love Hilda! Where did you get the adorable figure?! 8y

Just finished this as a recommendation from @Liberty and loved it! I'm reading the series out of order, but it's not throwing me off too much. This seems like it would be a perfect complement to people who like the comics of Ben Hatke or Kean Soo.

I finally let myself read this galley and I wasn't disappointed. It was another wonderful showcase for Hilda's bravery, ingenuity and loyalty. My only (extremely minor) quibble is that it ended on a cliffhanger, so I'm hoping the next installment gets here soon!
