I bought this from the library sale a bunch of years ago. I can't pass up a huge hardcover collection for a quarter, even if it's slightly damaged! My 7th grader read All Summer In A Day, which I had confused with There Will Come Soft Rains so I just read both of them tonight. 😁 Anyone else remember the short film for All Summer In A Day from the 80s?

When I saw that the Author-A-Month for September was to be a celebration of Ray Bradbury I became immediately excited because I knew that I owned a treasure book of his brilliant imagination, The Stories of Ray Bradbury. I‘ve read several stories out of this book over the years, yet I have many more to go. It‘s a really BIG book! This is my endeavor for #AuthorAMonth with R.B. in mind...👇🏽
#AuthorAMonth - September- Ray Bradbury: I was happy to start my Author-A-Month participation in the month of September because of honoring Mr. Bradbury. It seem fitting because Ray and I, we go a long way back. It must be junior high or maybe elementary school...somewhere in there I came across his determination to fill the literary world with strange, peculiar...utterly odd and brilliantly imaginative stories of a far out mind. He was a wonder!

No reading today. My brother, sister, and I were going through my Dad's books. I have some real treasures that I will post in the future, but they are still in my car. This one I brought inside right away. A Sound of Thunder is one of my favorite short stories. I'm so happy my dad passed on his love of reading. #biblioweekend
