I just about read this in one sitting. Jin, Amy, daughter Lucie, & grandmother Pauline are all dealing with a grief that's unrelated to but coincides with the 2020 COVID lockdown. Jin brings home a new pet rabbit as the novel opens, which had been much discussed. Pauline gets 10yo Lucie interested in Watership Down, which is maybe not the best book for a girl with already dark thoughts. I loved the characters and how real their relationships felt.
