Another book I have to thank/blame @RaeLovesToRead for introducing me to.
Rae, you mentioned it one evening over mead and bramble whisky. You mentioned another book, but that one I can't remember. We were talking about heist books similar to Locke Lamora.

Found the #audiobook and have just picked up this #audioknitting project out of my UFO basket. It'll either be leg warmers or socks when done. #LitsyCrafters

TheBookHippie I like the colors. 18h
quietlycuriouskate Ooh, your yarn thingummy: what sort of size can it hold? I'm looking to put something like this on my Christmas list 🙂. (I mostly use 100g balls of DK weight.) 17h

julesG @quietlycuriouskate That would definitely fit. The base is 12cm wide and the "thorn" is 18cm high. I've managed to get a 1500m 4-ply yarn cake onto it which might have had 20cm in diametre. 17h
julesG @quietlycuriouskate also, no idea what the thingummy is called. Literal translation from German would be "yarn unwinder" but it sounds weird 17h

See previous post. I love love LOVED The Silverblood Promise. If you liked The Lies of Locke Lamora, give this one a go!

He's also a Midsomer Murders fan so I have decided we are friends now.

I loved this action-packed, fantasy murder mystery. It was full of heart, brilliant fun, & I enjoyed every minute of it.

The whole story gives off Locke Lamora vibes. There's smart-mouthed skulduggery, shimmering towers, opulence and grandeur against streetwise determination.

The story does unfold in a linear way that cements it more as a fantasy adventure rather than a mystery novel, but the plot is fast paced and a lot happens along the way.

camscampbell I have this on my physical TBR shelf. Sounds good. 2mo

I‘ve waited 2 months and I still can say …

I recommend this book! Read it or listen to it, it‘s fantastic! In contention for BOTY.

Gritty, funny, dark, mystery, questions, fun & I‘m thankful it‘s just the beginning! Great characters and world! Excellent debut!
