“My name is Junie B. Jones. The B stands for Beatrice. Except I don‘t like Beatrice. I just like B and that‘s all.”

This is a funny book to read to your class throughout the months of school. Like a few chapters a day or week. It is also a good book to get your students to read, if they are able to read chapter books, when they first begin to start reading chapter books. Kids love Junie B. Jones books because they can relate and are hilarious and are simple chapter books to read.

This is a contemporary realistic fiction book. It is about Junie finding a perfect costume for career day at school! She decides that she is going to be a janitor. She always gets in trouble for blurting out loud in class.

Junie B. Jones and her Big Fat Mouth is an entertaining RF book about a sassy kindergartener. In this book, Junie B. wants to impress her peers and lies about having an awesome idea for career day. By the end of the story, she ends up finding the perfect job to dress up as. You‘ll just have to read to find out what she chooses. Junie B. Jones books are great for IR. Many students will be able to relate to her mischievous and sassy personality.

MNelson98 ESOL strategy 31 can be used with worksheets or activities paired with IR. UDL 2.1 can be used to help students to learn vocabulary they may not have understood in the book. This website provides several book reviews and vocabulary activities: https://www.edhelper.com/books/Junie_B_Jones_and_her_Big_Fat_Mouth.htm #lae3414sp19 6y

When your six-year-old nephew finds a receipt when you ask for a bookmark, you know you have a true reader in the family 🤣😍

Junie B. Jones is back and this time she really talked herself into a pickle. After she got in trouble for running her mouth she told all of her friends that she had a super cool job for Job Day at school next week but the problem is she doesn't have one. Read this RF to find out if she can figure out a solution in time! This book series is great for IR and AS. This particular book has won the Nevada Young Reader award. #ucflae3414f17

cheyennewilliams http://juniebjones.com/author This is a perfect link for students doing an author study on Barbara Park. It takes you to the author page of the Junie B. Jones website where there are all kinds of questions and answers about the author. If you explore the rest of the site you'll find activities and games you can utilize in the classroom. (edited) 7y
cheyennewilliams UDL strategy 7.3: minimize threats and distractions. In order to complete an author study while still minimizing threats from unauthorized websites, students should be provided with a bookmarked list of teacher-approved sites. 7y
cheyennewilliams EL strategy 7: show students how to use graphic organizers like semantic mapping and imaging. In order to accommodate EL's (and even other students) the teacher should provide a graphic organizer for students to use to record and organize information from the site for the AS. The teacher should also demonstrate how to use the graphic organizer for students. (edited) 7y

I'm having a meme-y kind of night. Sometimes I can only filter my politics through literature.
