Does anyone have any thoughts on self publishing?

courtney One of my friends is getting ready to self publish a novel and she has had so much fun with the process and loves having that ownership over her work that she wouldn't have if she had sold it to a company. I'm interested in trying it even though my creative writing professors bashed it endlessly in class :( I don't think it's a bad thing at all though! 8y

#LovetoHate ok so.....I'm not going to name names or anything but I have to share this. I went to school with a person who self published a novel. This person became pretty high and mighty about this novel, started ditching projects and being rude to those of us peasants who had not published a novel. When the novel came out I picked it up at a local book store and it was TERRIBLE!!!!!! Ha! I know I'm being mean but I can't help it 🤗

IndyHannaJones This person has continued to self publish. I will give them credit for hard work. All of the novels have corny titles and cliche plots. This person continues to tote their superiority and I continue to roll my eyes, 8y

If you have Kindle Unlimited (or want to do the free trial) look up The Path of Man, the first in a fantasy trilogy. A friend of mine wrote and self-published it and it will be free for the next few weeks!
