pickThis book takes you on a space age journey with a strong, sassy, and beautiful Captain Qole and her ever charming group of rag tag crew. This book has twists and turns like you wouldn‘t believe. It‘s slow to start but once it gets going your in for a fantastic ride.
bailed⭐️⭐️ I tried with this book, I really did. But I was unable to finish it. I took a chance on a genre that I don‘t usually prefer, and the book did start off well. But eventually it got to the point where I found myself reading more so I could just finish the book and move on, not because I was actually enjoying the story. Life is too short to read books you‘re not totally interested in, so I‘m just going to give this one up and move on.
Science fiction isn‘t normally my preferred genre, but I decided to try something new with this one! I‘m not far into it, but it‘s pretty good so far! 😊 #currentlyreading
🌞Whelp it's Friday! Today, going to be shopping with my guy! I finally finished Children of Blood and Bone and it was so good. I will post a review later. I have to wrap my head around what just happened in that book. Any who, have a great day and Happy TGIF!

My LitJoy Crate was a good one this month. It included the book Shadow Run, a Star Wars "Come to the Dark Side. We have books." travel cup, Shadow Run inspired cotton candy, a Firefly wooden bookmark, a Newt Scamander art print, 3 Star Trek buttons and a pair of Bad Astronaut socks. pickI ended up really enjoying this book, though it took me forever to read. I have a "slight" obsession with Alaska, and I think the authors and I like the same types of things (Firefly, for instance) and I love how there were hints of those things throughout. #litsypartyofone

bailedThis one fell flat early on and I DNFed around 10% or so. I was so excited to read this as a mash up of dune and firefly. But it just didn't work out.

Something I learned years ago: if you want to read unencumbered, Book Cat gets a tome too. So long as she's on a book, she's satisfied.
Shadow Run is my next read, which means I'll need to scrounge up a replacement book pillow soon. In the meantime, on to The White Dragon by McCafferey as I continue with my post-election comfort reading.

pickDamn I loved this book! It was very Firefly like but I can see the comparison to Dune too! Also I'm going to throw in a bit of Ice Pirates (the movie look it up lol) for giggles! I loved the dual POV's of Nev (swoons) and Qole! I can't wait for the next book!!!
