This one is set in Poland and tells the story of a fictional woman who worked with the real life Irena Sendler to smuggle children out of the Warsaw ghetto. The author has wonderfully captured the risk these people took to save lives and the horrible conditions in the ghetto. The present timeline was wonderful at breaking up the more tension filled moments in the past. 4.25/5
