I‘ll be reading this #memoir in a few months for one of my book clubs. #aboutabook
I only finished one nonfiction book in January, which is unusual for me. I really enjoyed listening to NPR reporter/host Ari Shapiro‘s memoir. He shares experiences from his early life and his reporting work, along with his sideline as a singer with Pink Martini. As an avid NPR listener, some of these stories were familiar, and it was nice to get more details and his reflections on them. The audiobook is great, as you might guess.
NPR host Ari Shapiro is so nice to spend time with! Obviously, the audiobook is the way to go with this one, as he narrates stories from his personal and professional life, with a heavy emphasis on public radio experiences. Gay, Jewish, musician, husband…listeners are treated to many stories of his reporting, band, and career. Thanks for the rec @Megabooks !!
This was a good listen!
I‘m not a radio listener, but this sounded interesting and it was! Ari is very engaging and I enjoyed hearing his story of how he ended up in journalism, and some anecdotes from his career reporting. He‘s a lot of fun.
Thanks for the recommendation @Megabooks 💜I wasn‘t really familiar with Ari Shapiro from NPR radio but that didn‘t stop me from enjoying his story about reporting news stories from around the globe, as well as dishing on his private life. Even though he‘s happily married to Mike, the Jewish mom in me kept wanting to fix him up with Andy Cohen 😄💕Audio read by Ari was fabulous.
