A soft pick.
Beautiful setting in Vermont as the Professor and family take in his nephew , whose parents have just been killed.
This starts off well and ends well , but it falls down in the middle. I would nearly have bailed but I had to find out how this ended , and I‘m glad I found out. I‘d try another by this author as I liked his writing and there were some thrilling moments.
#WeeklyForecast.
I started the tagged book and it‘s holding my interest ( even though not much has happened yet. Suspense! )
I got the new Claire Fuller, I did bail on Unsettled Ground, but I‘m hearing good reviews on this one fingers crossed 🤞🏻
Happy Reading week all.
Hi Cindy 😘
I liked the idea of this book, and he does convey the “psychopath in plain sight” part well, but not enough happened in it for me, at all. It seemed tedious and the main character was just annoying. Not all bad though!
This book was awesome! Gil and his wife Molly take in their nephew, Matthew, who Gil suspects killed his parents. This was a really awesome read. The premise caught my attention right away, and beyond the synopsis, I don't want to say anything that could ruin the reading experience. It was quick and easy and kept my attention with no problem! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
🎧 I started this one on a whim late last night, and it kept me awake for hours wondering what to think about the main character, Gil's nephew Matthew, and why Gil is so spooked by him. This one has me fully engaged! I love David Pittu as a narrator, and so far, it has been a very interesting listen. Will update with a review when completed!
Whoah- this quick read is one that is genuinely hard to put down! Gil and his family don‘t exactly welcome his 17-year-old nephew in the wake of the car accident that claims his sister and her husband. The siblings haven‘t talked in years after an unsettling vacation experience that leaves them all fractured. Dealing with finances, family and writing, the story that unwinds is hard to put down and sure to incite lively discussion amongst readers!
My first book of 2022 was my fav of the year! Heard good things about this tagged thriller coming out in March 2023. For #serieslove2023 I hope to get to the next book in a whole bunch of series I‘m in the middle of. #readinggoals #newyearnewbooks
