The mystery was well done but the main character is SUCH a wet blanket.
A scholarship student faced racism and classism at a fancy elite boarding school and when someone starts killing people she and the other scholarship student have to solve it so they can keep their scholarships and for reasons.
1/5 I don‘t recommend it, I think there are better versions of this kind of story

Meet Jess, a scholarship student at a private school. Jess wants to do well then go on to university. But one of the most popular boys in school ends up dead, in the same way that a character in Jess‘s story dies. Jess begins to receive messages and threats so takes it up on herself to solve the murder before she ends up dead next Jess, was always going to feel different from her peers and this is felt through interactions in the book. 3.5🌟

#CurrentlyReading - Jess wrote the perfect murder in a short story. And someone used her story as an inspiration for a murder.

92 pages in, and I like the suspense and the English Boarding school setting. Can't wait to read more and try to unravel the murder.
