Too precious for words!
Yes, manga & delicious in all forms. 🍛🥟💕🍝🥞
Such a silly, fluffy romance full of nonsense and beautiful food illustrations (which are my favorite 🤩)! I loved seeing Ben stumble into this restaurant position and discovering a passion for cooking that he didn‘t explore while getting his degree in English. This exploration of future potential was a lot of fun. I wasn‘t a huge fan of the chef‘s emotional abuse but otherwise a great cast of characters. #LGBTQIA #Comics #Food
I love sitting at bars just to read. It's just as fun at a cafe, but with fewer people doing the same thing 😆
I started Chef's Kiss last night and it's pretty fun so far! This is definitely a #BlameItOnLitsy for me because I originally didn't look past the cover design of this one. #Comics #LGBTQIA
It‘s not quite a pumpkin but last month I read the tagged graphic novel and it had a very very cute, very appetising, plot critical squash soup. It‘s the first thing that popped into my head for the #scarathlonphotochallenge today!
Also everyone read this book - it‘s gorgeous, cute, gay and will make you hungry for soup 🥰 #scarathlon #skeletoncrew
Ben is 22, has graduated collage, is living in a share house with friends & is struggling to find a job in his field (writing!), when he sees a help wanted sign in a restaurant window - that claims not to need experience. The owner/head chef is eccentric and agrees to hire Ben - if he can survive 3 weeks of food challenges & impress Winston, the food tasted and pig. There‘s also parental pressure, shifting priorities & a very cute fellow chef… ❤️
I loved this graphic novel, which was my first book of 2023! Great illustrations, a charming gay romance, realistic friendships, and fun kitchen scenes. Totally enjoyable and I hope there‘s a sequel someday!
I love books and movies that feature #food and really enjoyed this #graphicnovel. It‘s cute. 🧑🍳💋

Oh this was just a delight. Tackling that questionable time when you‘ve graduated college, but can‘t find a job in your field, and did you really want to do that anyway? Ben is discovering that he doesn‘t, really, and would rather cook in a restaurant, much to his parents disappointment. Bonus- the spud chef is Liam, a very kind, supportive, attractive guy who Ben might be crushing on…. I hope there‘s more coming!!
This was an impulse read from Kindle unlimited. It was a cute graphic novel about figuring yourself out after college. Lots of cooking and food panels, an adorable pig, and a little romance on the side. It was good, but felt like it was missing something.
SO adorable. Probably the only book I'll ever read about a recent college graduate entering the job market that won't give me anxiety! 😵💫 [Ah, those halcyon days of under/unemployment. 🤢] If you're not into the romance, read it for the taste-tester pig Watson. 🐖♥️ #graphicnovel
OMG, it's the first page and I'm already in love with the art. So cute! 😍
This is the face of a librarian who survived the first day of the Summer Reading Program! 😂📚💕 We must've had a few hundred people come in today to get signed up! It was SO MUCH FUN! But also super exhausting! I picked up this new graphic novel on my way out tonight so I am looking forward to spending the rest of the night relaxing and reading!

One of the Graphic Novels I read for May's theme challenge.

It was okay. I don't really know how to rate these because it's more than just a story. But I'm learning that I'm not really a huge graphic novel fan....just a GIANT heartstopper fan 😂.

But my nails were too cute with this book not to post about it 🤷♀️ so sue me 😏.
This month's challenge is Graphic Novels!
I am new to graphic novels. I've only read Heartstopper, which honestly set the bar high IMO (and don't get me started on the TV series, that's my new comfort series!!).
I have a few that I've bought this year and saved them to read in May. I'm starting with the tagged book, can't wait!
Oh, and feel free to use this template if y'all want.
Loved this GN! It has a lot of heart and delicious food. The character is relatable, and it was nice to find in the story supportive cast of characters and seeing Ben develop his realization that a career and figuring out what you'd like to do is not a straight line in life. Bonus pages has recipes for Ben's food creations #lgbtq #graphicnovels #food
Bought Chef's Kiss instantly when I discovered it came in! Love how the story is unfolding so far #lgbtq #comics #weekendreading
The art is crisp, the conflict is corny, and it has all the ingredients those with a taste for sweet romance could want.
