So persephone‘s crush is now her boss. And everyone is taking about the news article with her and hades. Not to mention the relationship drama between those close to her. Things are getting complicated, but isn‘t everything complicated in Olympus?

Lore Olympus has me stopping every few pages and thanking the author for this one! The graphics are beautiful and the storyline is easy to follow. Persephone is beautifully naive. Kudos to my sonshine for gifting me this cheetah blanket!
This books had me hooked… three days later and I‘ve read the entire WEBTOON comic that is posted… oops 🙊
There‘s something about a fresh new copy, spine not cracked that gives me ALL the feels! I am too excited to dig into this and share my thoughts with a scholar who is now about to graduate from high school!! I‘m honored to know her and even more honored that she still values my opinion.
Amazing book, can‘t wait to read the next one and continue to buy them as they come out. Definitely staying in my library!! 🏺
... She is terrifying... 😄
(Still misreading the title in my head as Lore Olympics...)
3.75⭐
I didn't love this as much as Vol 1, but it's still a quick, fun take on the Gods/Goddesses.
It's very much like reading a tabloid about them.
The art style is lovely and the main romance is intriguing enough to read on.
I've had to Google names to figure out who's who in the mythological family tree...it's easy to lose track if you're not super familiar with your Gods and Goddesses.
The next row of my #readinglogsnake is Lore Olympus Vol. 2. For graphic novels, I picked yarn called mexicana because it had a lot of colors in it, and I read many graphic novels that cover all gambit of genres. This is an interesting retelling of the Greek myth of Hades and Persephone, where Hades is conflicted with getting into a relationship with Persephone due to her innocence. Entertaining read. 5/5 ⭐️ #BooksAndCrafts #ARRCReads
Book two of the lore Olympus series. Here we got a deeper dive into Persephone and hades worlds
It‘s been a curl up on the couch kind of weekend. Though I did manage to get a post-holiday grocery restock in.
They're so CUUUUTE! 😭
Have I mentioned that ever since encountering the (heavily sanitized) version of their story as a child, Persephone and Hades has been one of my favourite Greek myths? As with the first volume, the author is kind enough to put a warning in the front of the book so I won't worry about putting it here. Suffice to say it's a bit more true to the Olympians than my childhood storybook. P.S. Cerberus is the best pupper. 🥰 🐶🐶🐶
Still on the fence. I'll have to read the whole series to make up my mind. Luckily, they are quick to read.
The illustration style is not really my cup of tea.
Phones and social media are very present. Very realistic, which is actually not that common in fiction.
This comic continues to delight—lots to love in this vivid, bold, modern retelling of the story of Persephone and Hades. The gods in this story aren‘t immune to jealousy, rivalry, pride, ambition, fear, sadness, and joy—they feel all of those things, wow do they feel it. Smythe‘s story addresses power dynamics, age differentials, consent, toxic relationships & more in this compelling, thought-provoking, very entertaining comic. Love Vol. 2 & 3.
Book mail just in time for an evening of reading. I‘m sitting down with the tagged book while my husband is diving into Maus. Sounds like a perfect Saturday night to me…
I don‘t know what I‘m going to do with myself when I finish the next volume. I enjoyed this more than the first - we get more gods/goddesses behaving badly, some annoying behavior from Hades, but also some really sweet moments between Hades and Persephone.
Volume 2 was my #doublespin book this month. Great continuation to the story! I ordered volume 3 and it‘s supposed to be delivered late next month. I‘m enjoying reading this in book from, so for now I‘m going to try not to skip ahead in the webtoon version. #LGBTQBookBingoPublishedIn2022 @TheAromaofBooks @Kenyazero
So, I picked up the second Vol when I picked up the first (and already preordered the 3rd) they are so cute! Anyway, I just couldn't keep my eyes off of these pages :) So cute!

Library haul : the second volume of Lore Olympus, and some Australian climate fiction.
Celebrating the end of the latest season of LO on Webtoons, I finally got a hold of the newest book. I love Smythe's work! ❤️
I finished this the other day and forgot to post it. This is book 2 and once again super fun read and amazing artwork. I love the way she tells a story with art and words both volumes have made my keeper shelf.
Illumicrate box two. A special edition of a web comic.
Ombré edges go from pink on top to blue on the bottom. Foil lettering. There‘s a letter from the author bound into the front of the book. No jacket. Its very pretty. They might still be available? I think I have a standard edition for book one. I should check to see how they compare …
I look forward to reading this.
I am completely obsessed with the way color is used in this graphic novel series! *sighs happily* 😍💕📚
Enjoyed this more than volume 1. Great story and even better illustrations.
I DONT CARE IF I CAN READ IT ONLINE FOR FREE YOU CAN AND WILL CATCH ME BUYING THESE UNTIL I HAVE A COMPLETE COLLECTION
The book isn't actually out yet, but I read the episodes (so it counts). Still loving it! I'll probably be on episode 150+ by the time the third volume comes out (or has a release date). The episodes are quite easy to fly through and read one after the other because I want to know what happens.
