Enter the woods . . . if you dareInto the WoodsFor centuries, the woods have been a pivotal part of the wonder and danger of fairy tales, for once you enter anything can happen. Elves, druids, fairieswho knows what you will find once you dare step into the forest? And now, New York Times bestselling author Kim Harrison ventures into these mysterious, hidden lands of magic and mystery in her first short-story collection. Into the Woods brings together an enchanting mix of brand-new, never-before-published stories and tales from Harrison's beloved, bestselling Hollows series. The tales here include an original Hollows novella, Million-Dollar Baby, about Trent Kalamack's secret elven quest in Pale Demon; two original short stories, "Pet Shop Boys" and "Temson Woods," that explore just what happens when humanity and the supernatural collide; and two novelettes, "Spider Silk" and "Grace," set in new worlds of imagination and adventure. Into the Woods also contains all of the previously published Hollows short storiestogether in one volume for the very first time.Step into the woods and discover the magic for yourself.

Pickpick

I‘ve been reading the Hollows stories in this anthology in order between the novels in the series. Now I finished the last few non-Hollows stories which are also wonderful. This is a great collection — I loved this reread and will definitely read it again in the future.

My favorite non-Hollows stories were Pet Shop Boys and Grace, but I enjoyed all of them.

Another book down on my Hollows series reread and #seriesread2022 @TheSpineView

Every year Kim Harrison sends out a beautiful short story called Angel‘s Song to her newsletter subscribers and posts it on her blog. Every year it makes me cry. And every year I am grateful she has sent it again.

Read it on her blog here: https://kimharrison.wordpress.com/2021/12/24/angels-song/

I'm really glad I decided to read through the Hollows series by Kim Harrison. I only made it to book 5 I think the first time around, but now I plan to read all of them! Just picked up the tagged book, which contains short stories set in the world of the Hollows. It's been great hanging out with Rachel, Ivy (especially Ivy! 😍), and Jenks again! 💕📚

#BookFitnessChallenge Week 3 Day 1

Forgot to check my steps before I went to sleep last night (I was so tired!) so missed my daily target but my actual challenge target is a weekly one, so I can gain those 217 steps back 😊

Halfway through book 5 of 9 for the challenge.

Points: 110

Another title for NYLA-SSL workshop later this month. Assorted shorts about Rachel, Ivy, Jenx, and others. Back stories, etc. Some republished, some new. Excellent. Found couple years ago on audio, enjoyed it. Trying to find a copy to bring. Waiting to hear back from indie book store.
