I'm currently listening to this in the car. I started my adventures with Serge and Coleman in the middle of the series so I'm enjoying seeing how these characters started out.

Nice read about life and times in California at the turn of the century.
Just discovered "Rex Libris" and I'm enjoying it. Kinda describes it when I gotta retrieve over due library books, except for the guns and colorful language :-)
"Shared sorrow is lessened, shared joy is increase."
Am tempted to also bring this to NYLA-SSL workshop. Asked to bring short stories taught at school or in school library and this is more essays that I might be able to hand to both HS reluctant readers and others.
Another title for NYLA-SSL workshop later this month. Assorted shorts about Rachel, Ivy, Jenx, and others. Back stories, etc. Some republished, some new. Excellent. Found couple years ago on audio, enjoyed it. Trying to find a copy to bring. Waiting to hear back from indie book store.
Revisiting this soon for NYLA-SSL workshop later this month on literature. We're asked to bring short stories to share. This takes place in a hidden nexus between worlds of humans and Elves. Magic n tech don't work, people want to cross over 'for something better' that may or may not be there.
Finished other day. Excellent story of alternate reality. Enjoyed Rachel, Ivy, Jenx. Their problems, solutions leading to more problems were fun to follow. My, can that pixie curse!
I've always enjoyed this author. After first couple of chapters, this one looks like a keeper.
