#1 New York Times bestselling author Susan Mallery pens a love story of a different sorta heartfelt tale of friendship between two women who used to be sisters. Once upon a time, when her dad married Sages mom, Daisy was thrilled to get a bright and shiny new sister. But Sage was beautiful and popular, everything Daisy was not, and she made sure Daisy knew it. Sage didnt have Daisys smartsshe had to go back a grade to enroll in the fancy rich-kid school. So she used her popularity as a weapon, putting Daisy down to elevate herself. After the divorce, the stepsisters rivalry continued until the final, improbable straw: Daisy married Sages first love, and Sage fled California. Eighteen years, two kids and one troubled marriage later, Daisy never expectsor wantsto see Sage again. But when the little sister they have in common needs them both, they put aside their differences to care for Cassidy. As long-buried truths are revealed, no one is more surprised than they when friendship blossoms. Their fragile truce is threatened by one careless act that could have devastating consequences. They could turn their backs on each other againor they could learn to forgive once and for all and finally become true sisters of the heart.

I‘m befuddled. This book arrived with a note from the author about how she loves to surprise readers with books and how she hopes I enjoy my surprise. I mean, on the one hand, wow! I love book mail. Thank you, Universe. More please. On the other hand, how did she get my address? 👀 Her books don‘t sound like my cup of tea so I can‘t imagine that I entered a giveaway and am I obligated to review this somewhere? It‘s a mystery. 🔎

Dilara I would be so creeped out if it happened to me 😬 1y

Lauranahe What?? How does that even happen?? 1y
DGRachel @Lauranahe I wonder if she was part of a multi-author giveaway from BookRiot. They make you put in your address when you fill out the sweepstakes form and maybe they share that list with the authors/publisher? If that‘s the case, I can only assume there was a different author/book in that group that I wanted. I‘m going to try to just be grateful, not creeped out, and who knows, maybe I‘ll love it. 🥰 1y

#ConflictedWorlds #siblings

Three books I read this year for book tours & events that featured siblings (sisters) & their complicated & conflicted relationships in the storyline.

Eggs These sound good 🙌🏻📖👍🏼 3y

All it takes is a family emergency to bring people back together, right?

A lot of family drama, but it was a pleasant read with likable characters.

I love a good story about sisters, even if they are stepsisters…and a half-sister. I really enjoyed this book. It was full of heart and made me really care about the three women. The characters are very believable, flaws and all.

Did an excerpt book tour for this one but ended up reading it. A good beach bag or pool book about 3 estranged half-sisters/stepsisters coming together as adults & finding out they don‘t actually hate each other. Predictable & it took me a bit to warm up to 2 of the 3, but overall a pick for a summer no-effort read. The book features a Berry Bellini cocktail recipe & I included it & a couple of other old favorites in my post: review/recipes link⬇️

My finished Garlic Fideos Soup (with toasted breadcrumbs on top) is ono. 😋🥣 I made a few changes to this Mark Bittman recipe & it‘s on the blog, link ⬇️ for #soupersundays

I forgot to take a picture with a book in it so I made do. The tagged book is one I am finishing up today for an excerpt book tour this week. It‘s a good easy summer beach book full of sister & family drama
