Two for Tuesday | Fiona McGier

Dr. Marcus Jones is world-famous for inventing a procedure to make cardiac surgery quicker and safer. He has achieved much in the ten years since he graduated from medical school, including accumulating more wealth than he had ever dreamed of growing up in the projects in Chicago. But he has not been as successful in his personal life. His lawyer wife is divorcing him--but then, he was never really in love with her. He has only felt that way about one woman--the one he dated back in college--the one who got away. When he finds her name on the internet, he contacts her, determined to see if he can rekindle what they once had together in college, back when he could only spare one night a week away from his studies and his world revolved around Tuesdays.

1. Stripes for sure. I have always loved stripes!

2. Not currently. But I do use the library‘s Hoopla and Libby apps often. And I love the state-wide loan network we have here in South Carolina.

Thanks for the tag, @Sace !
Great questions, @TheSpineView !

Texreader Oooh state-wide loans. That‘s awesome 3w
TheSpineView Thanks for playing! 3w
Sace I only have Hoopla available to me but I love it. No wait time! 3w

julieclair @Texreader It totally is! I once received a book from somewhere else in the state that was literally falling apart. It had a note on it from the home library that they had decided to keep it in circulation because it was the only copy left in the entire state-wide system. 💙 3w
julieclair @Sace Yes! It‘s such a great service. 3w
mabell Thank you so much for my lovely card and bookmark! (what a fun hobby!) I‘m so glad the books made it, and I am so excited for you! That‘s wonderful your daughter in law makes you such a part of the journey. 💕 3w
julieclair @mabell Thank YOU! 💙 And I agree… I am very blessed to have such a thoughtful daughter-in-law. 💝 3w

Blanket forts was what it was all about as a kid! Yes!!

“Horton Hears a Who” reminds me of childhood. I don‘t remember the story exactly but recall that was a nighttime book my dad would read to me when I was visiting on weekends. Bedtime stories were always cozy times. They still are.

@Eggs Thanks for the tag 🙃

1. I hate winter but if I had to pick one thing it would be slow cooking cheap beef all day then using the leftovers in pies. 2. Definitely The Bronze Horseman by Paulllina Simons. I love that series and I really hope it gets made into a movie one day. @TheSpineView

1. Several...LOTR, Dune, Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy to name a few of the top of my head.
2. Randall Monroe's What If? and How To. Some of the mathematics and physics was so over my head it hurt.

1. Absolutely! ?? The digital databases are the bee's knees with NoveList having a special place in my data-driven ❤ Hubby and I also love making the most of our Libby and Hoopla checkouts. Recently we've also added "Discover Pass" backpacks with binoculars and maps to Washington state parks!

2. I am one! ? So yes - lol! Although I do not currently work in that capacity, I'm quite humbled when I'm asked for help.

TheSpineView Libraries are the best! Thanks for playing! 4y
TheKidUpstairs Libby is awesome. And Discover Pass packs sound fantastic! 4y
mandarchy Yeah Washington Discover pack! 4y
Librariana @TheSpineView - Thank you for creating something fun and neat for us to share! 😊 4y
Librariana @TheKidUpstairs - Libby sure is! We shall always sing her praises ??? And yes! To both you and @mandarchy - the addition of the "Discover Pass" backpacks to our "Library of Things" collection has been a big hit with patrons, especially right now. They get to go exploring, use some neat binoculars, take advantage of an assortment of included maps and wildlife/floral guides, AND use the pass for their vehicle! 4y
