panI probably should have gathered from the title and summary, but I thought this was going to be more about cats and his relationship with them versus an autobiography. It was about his struggles with addictions of all kind, his early life as a musician, and how he started to develop his philosophies about cat behavior. You can tell he‘s a songwriter because he used too much figurative language. Nice that he narrated the audiobook.

Our beautiful boy Bailey passed today. His playful and loving ways will live on forever in my heart. As a kitten, he would love to run and chase, and would wander the house crying "mama" looking for us. The other cats loved him and we nicknamed him Daddy. Such a sweet and precious boy! We all feel the loss.
Rest in peace my beautiful boy. Forever in my heart! Bailey is the one on the right. He was my reading buddy!
