I've finished #fourfoursin24 after a four month hiatus between prompt fills!

Can't remember all my justifications, d'oh!

Crochet ballet: 1950s housewifery complicated by the installation of a new kitchen. Knitting is involved.

Solar troller: Just the perfect book for this prompt. She calls him at the break of dawn and dispenses snarky insults.

Floral laurel: characters named after flowers.

Lupine goldmine: fields of yellow flowers.

Mortal portral: Yup!

Retail Greyscale: Shop with a very weird, creepy museum.

I filled a box!

Fuzzy buzzy: A character stays drunk and busy to avoid thinking about her life.

Kit McBride Gets a Wife: Kit's snarky little sis gets busy, leading to sparks between him and Maddy.

Dreamy Steamy: Pursuing the american dream while eating many goodies, sometimes steamed.

Gurney journey: A character is injured and requires an ER trip.

The #Fourfoursin23 is a challenge I always complete based entirely on ✨vibes✨ 😂 I probably could have made something work for my final two, but nothing I read felt completely right. Thank you for hosting @lauredhel - some of the 2024 prompts look super fun!!!

And I've just realised Band Sinister meets #threewayscreenplay just fine. Rookwood, John Raven, and Lord Corvin, the Murder, make up the three-way (not going into detail about the ménage situation...) And ok it hasn't been adapted for the screen yet, but I would LOVE if it were. #fourfoursin23

And I'm off and racing in the first set of #fourfoursin23 !

Lying Cat sure qualifies as a #creaturefeature in Saga Volume 10 (everybody loves Lying Cat!), and Ship Wrecked is a perfect fit for #romanceexpanse , being a slooooooow burn romance set over many years. #readingchallenge

So for #20in4 I finished This Is Going To Hurt by Adam Kay and made progress on Beloved by Toni Morrison, The Rose Code by Kate Quinn, Just Desserts by G. A. McKevett and The Viceroys. I read for 8 hours and 34 minutes!
