Me not finding these stories scary is not a big deal (I love horror but l don't often find it scary), but some of these so far, I'm not even sure how they are intending to be scary. Interesting choices!

I loved this collection. None of the stories are really longer than 6 pages. In The Story and the Seed, Hans and Gfiza are sent into space to find a planet habitable for humans. They think they find one. This one has good creep factor while pairing ecological horror over a futuristic Hans and Gretel tale. In the end, the planet eats both children, the planet hissing to Gretel that Earth has told other planets the stories of humans. Yikes!
This was a pretty decent collection of horror flash fiction. Finished the last 16 stories for #Scarathlon.

Only had time to read for an hour yesterday. Read six stories in Tiny Nightmares.
Days 1 & 2 #SuperSeptember #Readathon
Didn‘t have a lot of reading time over the weekend. I‘m almost halfway through Tiny Nightmares.
I'm a huge Stephen King fan and other nightmare/horror books and authors. I read about this book and seemed interesting. Unfortunately, I was not a fan. Each and every story was quite abstract and just didn't interest me. I kept reading the book in hopes to find one story that I enjoyed. For me, this was a complete miss.
Taking a tiny break with these tiny nightmares. #horror
Thank you @Reggie and @vivastory for the rec! I would nibble one (or two or three or four) before bed. These authors (most new to me, so now my TBR is increased) work so well crafting horror in short form, and at least three of these I found actually chilling/disturbing. Overall I thought this was a strong collection depicting a wide range of nightmares: even the ones that didn‘t ring my horror bell might ring someone else‘s. 🧟♂️💀👽🔪
We all want to contribute. Most of us don‘t know how. So we have kids. Hi, kids. We love you.

This was a great quick read. Pro Tip: listen to a horror movie playlist while reading in the dark.
Crate + Barrel for the win ( as always).
In the dark, she had wondered what it was she had loved in him. Was it how he wouldn‘t break a sweat as he worked his way through a plate of buffalo wings?

Apparently, this is the prompt I‘ve been waiting for all my life. Lol
1. This was a delight to read and just like all good collections pointed me to some unknown authors.
2. Nightmares and Dreamscapes by Stephen King and Blue World by Robert McCammon. They just started me on my love of short horror fiction.
3. Standalone but don‘t mind the other.
Also just wanted to say thanks for all the well wishes yesterday. I‘m feeling 100% and am 👇🏼
1. @TheNeverendingTBR Posted this book and it sounds interesting.
2. I have not read any short stories yet.
3. Can‘t really say, but I‘ve heard that some stories aren‘t as good as others when people review short story books.

@Reggie @vivastory Whoa. 😳 Couldn‘t wait for the library to order a copy so bought it tonight. Just wanted to say thank you. And WHOA. 🐀
I thought this was great. All of these stories were less than 5 pages. They covered a wide array of horror sub genres and introduced me to new to me authors I want to keep an eye on. Witches, rats, carnivorous planets, the monster in the basement, global warming, the creepy guy who took pictures of you while you were asleep when you were camping alone, the haunted painting, this book has a little of everything. A great week before Halloween pick!
@GhostStories your bookclub should get this book just for this 3 page story about this 🐀. O. M. G. 😱

So far I‘ve read 5 of these and I love it. All so different from the last! #Scarathlon2020 #TeamHarkness
I forget the points rules for short stories, please remind me!
For all you horror fans who like short stories I ran across this today and it‘s creepy. Even those of you who are thinking about dipping your toes in horror this would be great starting point. Here‘s the link: https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/shellyoria/tiny-nightmares-climate-change-e...
