Phryne is back! I got swept away with Phryne & Dot on their little spa getaway in Daylesford. We are treated to multiple mysteries ranging from missing women, multiple murders, and even the mysterious death of a pregnant teen back home in St Kilda which is left to Jane, Ruth, Tinker & Hugh to solve in Phryne‘s absence. There were tons of interesting new characters in Daylesford & the murder mystery was top notch. It was also a treat to read the ⬇️

I am so beyond freaking excited to have the first new Phryne Fisher book in 8 years! Just in time for some weekend reading. 🤓

Browsing on Amazon and discover this - the 21st Phryne Fisher book!! Out in the UK on 1st June, 8 years after the publication of the 20th book in the series.

Seven years since the last book in the series but no improvement in the writing I'm sorry to say. I think I've almost reached the point of hate-reading this series. Even so I have to rate it as a pick because I knew what I was going to get. If I don't think that's good I should just stop reading them 🙄😳😩

Bk4 of #NovelNovember #Bk2 of #ProgressItNovember is done! I‘ve been waiting 7yrs for the 21st Phryne mystery, while it took a few chapters to get going, it didn‘t disappoint. Phryne & Dot travel to Daylesford in Victoria‘s alpine country to inspect a spa looking after shell shocked soldiers, a cause close to Miss Fishers heart. Doesn‘t take long for murder & mystery appear. Meanwhile, Jane, Ruth & Tinker get involved in the death of a classmate.

Next up in both #NovelNovember & #ProgressItNovember is the latest Phryne Fisher novel. About time too! It‘s been 7yrs since the last one, I was losing hope. Phryne has been invited to a Spa in Hepburn Springs by a Captain Herbert Spencer, a spa that‘s for soldiers with shell shock. Intrigued, she arrives with Dot but is immediately in the middle of disappearing women & murder. Sounds good so far, plus another amazing cover #PhryneAppreciationClub

I‘m more than a few Phryne books behind - and I really just borrowed this for my Nana (I act as a book mule for my grandparents) but the covers on this series remain impeccable!!

So excited to find out this morning that there's a new Phryne Fisher book!!! Not out until June in the U.S., though.
