I‘ve not read any other books in this series, but I did not enjoy this. First, there‘s no murder, just an attempted murder. This was basically one long baking marathon with a really weak mystery woven in.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Another quick fun read in this series. This book takes us back to before the rest of the books in the series take place. John Doe is found unconscious and has amnesia. Solving who he is becomes the focus of Hannah and the rest of the Lake Eden characters we know and love.

I put a hold on this and was supposed to get it in December but it arrived early. Gave it a shot but it wasn‘t for me. I couldn‘t get past the writing style. It seemed too amateurish and awkward. The premise is a local baker helps solves crime in her town like a young Jessica Fletcher. I was about 90 pages in and almost nothing happened. No Murder, just baking. I think the added recipes are very cute but they were the only interesting part

Book 26 was about on par for the most recent Hannah Swenson books. Not terrific, but not awful. It takes place in the past, so it could really be read as a stand alone or out of order from the other books with no spoilers.

3. Hmmm...I wouldn't mind going back to like a Disney-fied version of the pre-human times. I'd love to be able to see dinos from a safe distance behind strong gates. Though Jurassic Park has warned me this probably isn't the wisest dream to have.

My husband sent me this message tonight. Apparently he got an email about the book and knows I like the series. He's not much of a reader, but after 25 years together, he knows how to make me happy. This series has gotten super cheesy, but I can't seem to stop reading them. Hope this one will be a good one.
