I plan to just read with no real goals. I have some family doings this weekend and I'm also still healing up from surgery last week.

I'm undecided on this one. The setting and characters are interesting and the dynamic of the sister relationship is very good-too many twists and turns and characters to keep me following the storyline well. I can't decide if its a focus problem--a product of my life as a teacher/coach/simultaneously teaching in person students and virtual during a pandemic or if I just couldn't follow the plot. I really wanted to like it...maybe a summer re-read?
I requested and got this ARC from NetGalley, and started reading without knowing much about it. I found it a little difficult to get into and also found the character development lacking. Likewise, the plot was a bit rickety. But I‘m calling it a pick due to some very evocative writing, lovely moments of prose and use of metaphor, and a compelling overall story - even if it wasn‘t quite fleshed out enough. Almost fantasy, YA fare. #petsoflitsy
I don‘t think I ever actually drink tea out of this mug? It‘s more about the sentiment I think 😂 excited to start this one! I LOVED The Tenth Girl so I‘m hoping this one is just as good.
I finished this before October, but I recommend it for #scarathlon- an atmospheric, Gothic mystery perfect for October - you can read my full review on my blog: https://charityrau.wordpress.com/2020/09/30/white-fox-book-review/

I won a copy of this book from Fierce Reads on Instagram and I was so excited to read it!
This is a mystery but it‘s pretty unique. The story follows two sisters trying to figure out what happened to their mom who went missing when they were children. It alternates between each of their perspectives, a movie manuscript, and occasionally adding in a news article or things like that. The latter is a little inconsistent. (Continued below)
