An enjoyable young adult book about the importance of being true to yourself. Chris Colfer has a unique way of weaving important topics into a fairy tale world! I will for sure be reading the other two books in the series!

I didn‘t know much about this one going in. And the way it started I was wondering why on earth I‘d picked it! But things improved and I really enjoyed what started out as a very dystopian magical tale. Looking forward to reading the next in the series. I read the audiobook and the author narrated. I really enjoyed his performance. 4/5⭐️

MemoirsForMe Glad to learn more about this series. I put it on my TBR when I found out that Glee‘s Kurt is the author. Guess he can act, sing and write! 3y
PurpleyPumpkin @UwannaPublishme You know, I‘ve never watched Glee! It wasn‘t until after I started reading this that I learned he was on the series. He can definitely write, that‘s for sure! 3y

When Brystal discovers that she isn't like everyone else her life completely turns around. With the help of Mme Wetherberry and her friends will she be able to overcome the dangers that are headed towards her or will she fail and lose everything she has worked so hard to get? In this book the writer displayed and showed me a whole new perspective on magic even though the characters were simple. The main message is that anything is possible.
