What would you do if you lost your memory, and everyone knew more about your life than you do? Who would you trust when you don‘t even know who you are? This was a fun, quick read. Hard to put down and definitely a page turner. I really enjoyed this fast paced story! Three and a half stars.
Since my last post was sad, I wanted to make this one happy. Colby (9years) and Arya (6months) give me lots of love, and are great company. I took this picture last week, but it‘s basically them every morning as I make my tea. They‘re hanging out with me while I listen to my audiobook today. There‘s nothing quite like doggy love. 💕💕💕 #DogsOfLitsy
Fast and fun- I enjoyed this #NetGalley read, as I‘m a sucker for the amnesia trope! I thought some of the twists were easier to see coming than others, but I genuinely liked this this story of a woman trying to recover her memory after washing up on the seashore! And these #Butterflies are a part of my spring decor! #LiteraryLuck
I couldn‘t quite make this a pick...very interested to read this as it‘s set where I live and did enjoy reading about familiar places in a fictitious sense. However, typos annoyed me and I found it too predictable. Easy read.
This was probably between a pick and a so-so. I enjoyed the story and was interested by it. I found it a little predictable and there were a lot of editing mistakes 😂lots of missed punctuation or missed words 😂 but I did enjoy it!
And I loved that it was set where my parents live! I knew all the little bits she was describing which I found very exciting 😆
P.S. the picture is me on the river from the book, in my kayak 🚣🏼♀️
Starting this one today as it is set in Christchurch, Dorset where my parents live!!
Very excited to read a book set somewhere I know and love!
It‘s about a girl who washes up on shore with no memory of who she is.
Just started this audiobook today. So far i‘m not loving it. Just kind of lukewarm. Worried it‘s a gone girl, luckiest girl alive, girl on the train type of book 🤷🏻♀️
Mia is found on a beach and doesn‘t remember who she is or her name.
A suspenseful and quick read following Mia who is trying to gain her memories back. This was a interesting read and I enjoyed it. The story kept me hooked and trying to figure out what happened. The ending actually surprised me.
⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
It was an interesting premise and i was drawn in right away, but it was really predictable and i guessed what happened early on. #audiobook
The dude makes it so hard to make any reading progress during the day, ehhhhh he's luck he's cute.
This book was soooo good!!! Idk how else to describe other than you will be totally surprised. 4 stars
Mia is found on the beach apparently having luckily escaped drowning after an accident. She has no memory of her life before or even her name but starts to wonder if it really was an accident. Started off well but became very formulaic. Guessed who it was and the 'twist' ending well before they happened. Plus the main character was irritating. Rating: 2.5/5.
Update to my #LitsyReadingChallenge Not doing too bad so far. #litsybingo
I enjoyed it for the most part. I didn't bail. It had a twist which saved it. However, the main character was so desperately needy (especially at the very end) that I just couldn't take it.
Finished listening to An Abundance of Katherines by John Green today. This is my next audio listen. 🎧📚
Another book following "the girl" in the title trend. If you wanted to read what a clichéd "memory loss after a tragic accident only to return to the old life" book, this is it! The writing was ok, but this hits every single note-angry boyfriend- check, being lied to-check, the prot. figuring it out right at the right moment-check. You will guess who did it. I read it on a train and it was great for that. If I read it at home, I would have skipped
The plot of this book gets an A, but the execution gets a B-. Despite a fresh, original premise, the character's internal dialogue was so repetitive at times that it was annoying. Even though most chapters ended with a tasty cliffhanger, I found that I could resist reading on, or neglecting other duties to pick the book back up. Despite how good one layer of the book was, the other layer just seemed a bit juvenile, but still good. 4 stars out of 5
Wonder if I can hit 200%?
new #bookreview at www.theirregularreaderblog.wordpress.com! Girl from the Sea is a paranoia inducing mystery!
All in all this was a good, quick read. I finished it in less than a day and it pulled me in from the start. Trying to piece together her memories along side her and figuring out what happened gripped me and I loved the twist. I recommend it for sure, especially if you liked the thrillers of Gone Girl and The Girl on the Train
This candle scent is truly intoxicating. It smells so amazing as I am enjoying powering through this book!!
Finally finished Cress, loved it, and can't wait to get onto my next book. I'm not a super fast reader and between work and grad school I can't pop out books as quickly as some, but I think I have to up my goal.. I'll hit 30 in a few weeks at this rate!! 😁📚
Got my first 3 books from #netgalley! Two were read now books but got my first approval!! So excited to join the netgalley community and having my world opened to new books and authors that I don't know 👍🏻🤓📚
Took the plunge and signed up for netgalley the other day, and already received these two!
They have already been published, but excited all the same! (Is there a different policy for receiving galleys that are already published? I wouldn't think so, but wanted to double check).
This book was a #NetGalley pick - my first - and it was so good! It begins when the MC is found with amnesia. What happened to her? Was it an accident? Or was it something else? I was kept guessing the entire time.
My first NetGalley book! I'm so excited to start this.
