welp, it certainly was all action and tension, but it was hard to believe someone could take that many wounds and survive never mind manage to save his friends.
Still, I'll probably read more in the series.

Somewhat different than the Netflix movie. The genre of expertly trained un-killable superhuman spec ops former CIA novels. A huge stretch from reality, but still entertaining. Not all superheroes wear capes. Some are government trained agents forced underground who use their abilities for good. This is nothing more than a good superhero story.
I wanted to read this book before I watched the movie on Netflix. That‘s the main reason I read it. Honestly, it‘s not my type of book at all, but I ended up enjoying it! It‘s certainly action packed, but a little far fetched. I learned more about weapons while reading, especially guns. Not sure If that‘s a good or a bad thing. All in all, this was a very good book. Now off to watch the movie.
Started this the other day.
watched this on Netflix yesterday…it was sooo good but left so many unanswered questions. then realized it‘s a whole 12 book series!! anyone read these? #netflix
I thought I'd switch things up but this was not my personal cup of tea. Reads like an action movie, with the fairly typical macho character that goes from improbable scenario to improbable scenario like he's made of Teflon. Lots of gunfire, few surprises. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Found out about this book as it was mentioned in the book “True Believer” by Jack Carr. An action packed book that was an enjoyable read. Court Gentry is the Gray Man and it‘s worth a read.
Wow! This was fun! The Gray Man reminded me a bit of the Jonathan Quin series, with a touch of Bourne-but The Gray Man definitely stands on his own.
Cannot wait to get the second book!
I was expecting to finish “Gray Man“ this weekend but I've started a non-book project and it has consumed my time. I should get this finish first of next week and start on my #bookspin book.
I do have a stack of kids Christmas books that I'm hoping to get finished on Saturday-maybe a Christmas ASMR on the TV, the kids book, and some cider-sounds like a great afternoon!
At first I worried this might end up some watered down version of Jason Bourne, but as the novel progressed, I was happy to see that Court Gentry (aka The Gray Man) was a well rounded character, unique in his own ways. There's a lot of action in this, lots of blood and some gruesome injuries. 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
3rd book for #OutstandingOctober (16:35:31) @Andrew65

A flash of light in the distant morning sky captures the attention of the Land Rover's blood-soaked driver.

I am posting one book per day from my extensive to-be-read collection. No description or reason for wanting to read the book. Some are old and some will be new. Don't judge me - I have a lot of books.

Loaded up my Kindle as well for the #bookchallenge2020, trying to find one to take part of & came across #LitsyAtoZ by @BookishMarginalia and signed up to do the mixed track. 1 book for every letter in the alphabet, either author last name or first word in title.

We shall see how this goes
Today‘s author spotlight: Mark Greaney! The 52 yo Memphis, TN, native might be my favorite contemporary author. Like me, he has a degree in International Relations 😁. He was a waiter, bartender, and worked for a surgical tech company before the success of his first book (tagged) allowed him to quit and write full-time. He has continued Tom Clancy‘s Jack Ryan series. (Which Litten now loves the Gray Man series?) #AuthorPotpourri #TheMoreYouKnow
And another set of my recommendations came in! WOOHOO! This may be my favorite thriller series, filled with intrigue and elite agents and full-throttle action. If you finally want to dab your toe into the action-thriller genre, you can't go wrong with the Gray Man series. And they're not really stand-alones, so you should start at the beginning with "The Gray Man" and then go on from there. It's a helluva lot of fun! ????????
Wow wow wow! I just finished the latest--5th--installment in the Gray Man series, but I'll highlight this first entry. This may be my favorite series, period! A legendary mercenary's employer & granddaughter are hostages. To rescue them, Court Gentry has to cross continents & past a bunch of the world's most elite hit squads operating, with the CIA also on his heels. Relentless high-energy badass fun! Pair with: Absolut Vodka & Red Bull, iced.
