pickI almost forgot about this! As per usual, Nancy risks bodily harm to investigate a mystery that magically falls in her lap. Our plucky girl detective won‘t be deterred from her quest by anything! I enjoyed this more than I expected, but I wish we‘d had a little more Bess and George. Ned does get a bit more time on page, but now I have to look up 1930s/1960s football rules. Was persuaded by @batsy to hop into the buddy read for “The Once and Future King,” a book that‘s been on my TBR for a while. And thus begins this cautionary tale and a word of advice: Don‘t wait too long to read the books you buy. Today I went and got my first manicure in more than a decade. I‘m a nail biter and have been my whole life. I spent the month of July, my birth month, trying to stop with the end goal being a fancy polish colour. I hate dirty nails so summer and gardening is a hot mess time to give oneself this challenge ( did you know soaking in polident gives you white nails? It saved me!) there will be many books and manicure shots henceforth 🤣🤣
