pickDidn't realize I had another of Claribel's books in my library and decided I had to get through it now, it was such a nice read! I love books about family and friendship and when you add spooky elements like ghosts and witches, it's only better! Loved the use of Spanish, esp at the start where it was heavier

Ghost Squad is about two best friends and their cat Chunk, who have to save the town and keep the bad ghosts from killing the family ghosts. This was full of adventure and I enjoyed it. I felt that sometimes the story jumped around more than I liked, but I think for middle grade and elementary kids this book just works. It‘s spooky without being scary, and It takes place right before Halloween, but can be read at any time of the year.

I actually got my butt in gear this month and am ahead in reading. Sorry about last month.
Over all I did enjoy this book. It is not one I would have picked up on my own, as I am not a huge “ghost“ type person.
I will get it mailed off later this week.

This was a cute read! I enjoyed the atmosphere most and the camaraderie of Luce + Syd. It was fun travelling through the spooky parts of St Augustine with them and Babette! LOVED BABETTE! I wish the big baddie was more fleshed out as I wasn't rushing to read the ending. Also, enjoyed the mention of all the delicious food 😋
