2✨ Full review on Fable. It would have been better if it had a prequel or if it would have given background first. It did a lot of confusing back and forth.

Dollar Tree find!!!❤️
This book is about five friends who play RPG games together & have headed off to a secluded cabin for their last game. What could go wrong?
I enjoyed the nuttiness of this book, although the end did drag a bit.
And Bowie's Queen Bitch, the perfect drama queen song & he was rather a drama queen himself. Love Bowie 🖤

I was excited to read this and the beginning pulled me in. But after that, it went downhill. I love the queer and disability representation in the characters, but they were all one-dimensional, and I frequently had to flip back to remind myself which character was narrating at the moment. Overall, the plot had a lot of potential, but the execution was lacking.
I really wanted to like this but it fell flat for me. The character voices are all very similar which made it so confusing, the book is written in first person from different characters perspectives
The gaming world created was way more interesting and fleshed out than the actual plot
“But I never really thought I would progress past slurs and pushing us around “The tone of this that the narrator didn‘t think being a Trans would lead to the bullying he/she endured. The mood of the this sentence to me is concerned and suprised because the author didn‘t think that would happen to that extent for being themselves.
The literal meaning of break is something breaking or being damaged the book meaning is someone splitting up or slowly fading away from eachother.
Cabin in the woods + queer characters + disability rep + mysterious spooky things happening = this book + a delighted me
I DNF this book. I usually don't do that, but this was just not pulling me in and I'm very bummed about it. I loved the queer representation as well as the inclusion of people with different disabilities, but it felt forced and inauthentic in this instance, and the story line itself wasn't great for me. I made it to almost two hundred pages, even with having figured out "who dunnit" very early on, so I feel like I gave it a chance.
YA for those looking for diversity, but for me, too little plot & too much lecture. Bi, trans, straight, Austistic teens with gay, poor & rich parents form a friendship;a role play gamer group. The teens go into the mountains for one last play & murder ensues. It's hard to keep characters & their angst straight (pun intended) & don't get me started on the confusing use of the pronoun "they" for a single human. The irony? The plot is a stereotype.
I enjoyed reading the story, but I was not satisfied with the ending. Don‘t get me wrong this is an easy read. One that you can finish in one sitting. It took me longer because I started reading another book at the same time. Honestly, this story is worth three stars out of five. Unfortunately, the marketing builds it up to be a horror YA story but the ending falls flat. #mariekenijkamp #evenifwebreak
I have a theory about this story but I‘ll wait until I make to at least page 200 before I reveal it. I‘m almost there. #evenifwebreak #mariekenijkamp
Now I have reached the point in this story where things are rather scary in a slasher flick kind of way. #Evenifwebreakup #mariekenijkamp
I have 167 pages left to read. The one thing that I like about #EvenIfWeBreak is that it doesn‘t feel like a chore to read each chapter. Plus, I get a new perspective which is also cool. #MariekeNijkamp #catsoflitsy
This is the first story that I read which included trans and non binary characters. Also, a few characters who are on the spectrum. I stopped at page 67 so far this story is interesting. People have secrets. Something weird is going on. Also, the characters are in the middle of Live Action Role Play (LARP). #mariekenijkamp #evenifwebreak
Twelve pages in. One narrative read. Let‘s move on to the next one. #mariekenijkamp #evenifwebreak
🎧 Making progress on this book while I do some cleaning before work.
This book was rather disappointing. I hyped this book up sooo much and it just fell flat. The characters, were immaculate, loved them. But the author didn't spend enough time introducing them all and I got really lost at first with who was who. The middle 100 pages, very good read, fast paced, and thrilling. The killer and why? Not shocking and very anticlimactic. Then there was an extra 30 pages that just wasn't necessary at the end. 2.5/5 stars
I wanted more from this book, like a better explanation for why the murders happen. I did enjoy the RPG aspect of the story and how it plays in to the real life Murder SFO the members in the group. I also enjoyed how diverse the story was when it came to LGBTQ representation. I listened to this on audio which was fun since it was a full cast recording. #LittensDressedInBlood
A cabin in the woods horror/thriller
I found this to be a very clever, mystery and suspenseful thriller with great, diverse characters that has some dark and creepy moments. Not one to read at night! A thoroughly entertaining read.

This writter can pen a book that makes you think. I love the masks and the black and read. It feels sinister and dark. It feels like the way Eyes Wide Shut wanted you to feel (but totally didn't).

The cover and blurb is better then the book. Just my opinion 🤷♀️
Diverse characters and a suspenseful plot kept me turning the pages, but it was the mystery that kept me hooked. The mysterious ghost story about the cabin was a nice touch – I would have liked to see a little more of this element, if only to keep the reader guessing, as the ending was a little predictable – not enough was done to make everyone a viable suspect. But all in all I enjoyed this YA thriller by the author of 'This Is Where It Ends'.
