I‘m starting a reread of the series, and never read this prequel. I enjoyed it! I‘m super excited to revisit Stoneybrook and my old “friends”.

This book was absolutely terrific! I highly recommend this book to any Baby Sitters Club fan! This book was published in 2010 and is a prequel to the actual series. It documents Kristy, Mary Anne, Claudia, and Stacey‘s lives the summer before the idea for The Babysitters Club was born. If you‘ve never read any of the books before, this is a good one to read first! #babysittersclub #annmartin #bsc

I was a BSC superfan as a kid. I still hold a grudge against the cousin who donated my entire collection when she was done reading them (it was a LOAN, Haley!!!!) When I found out there was a prequel, I had to read it.

Lacking all the filler of traditional BSC books, Martin focuses on original four club members in the summer before Kristy‘s Big Idea. I found it well conceived, well written & I was perfectly nostalgic while reading it.

How did I miss that there was a Baby-Sitters Club PREQUEL?! I had to return to 11-year old me and read it. Let‘s be honest - I was always a bit of a Mary Anne, with some Kristy thrown in for good measure, but I missed Claudia and Stacy, too. There wasn‘t much new offered here, but it was a visit with old friends, and sometimes, that‘s just what you need. I bet Ann Martin missed them, too, and I‘m glad she gave me a bit of time with them again.
