The point of it all is to love friends completely and utterly, at their best and worst, and to love more than just the good things. It's about showing that you're willing to accept them for whatever they are, that they should not feel insecure or self-conscious in your presence... (from a piece by Arka Pain)

#Septembowie Day 25: Haven't read this one yet but I anticipate a lot of #Sorrow (and hope too, I am sure) in this memoir.

Reading at work. In a semi-reading slump, hoping this book will help me out of the funk and so far...so good. #EstherGraceEarl #ThyroidCancerStory

This book was a total cover buy and it eventuly lead me to The Fault in The Stars. IM A BETTER PERSON FOR READING THIS BOOK AND I THINK EVERYONE SHOULD READ IT AT LEAST ONCE IN THERE LIFE. I criwd like a baby and know in my heart I could never be as strong as Esther in her condition.

I, like many others, read this after reading "TFIOS." It was such an inspiring, touching read. I feel like I know Esther after reading this. Her journal gives you so much insight into her too-short life. 5/5 stars

This book was sad but incredibly inspiring. Esther Earl was able to do so much in her life and make a difference to so many. With the rough year that I have been having it is important to remember that love is above all.

Excited to start this book, it's very bland kind of day and I figured that this book may help make it better.

My $6 thrift store haul! I found more clothes not pictured, but I was most happy with this brand new Vera Bradley tote and a hardcover edition of this book. It's been on my wishlist for a long time, and I'm so glad I didn't get the audible edition because the book has so many photos and journal art! #bookhaul #thrifting #secondhandbooks #usedbooks

Donna_sBookMinute I haven't heard of the book. But I love this VB fabric. I found the coin purse in this line a few weeks ago at a consignment sale. Great finds. 📙🛍🎉 8y

"Isn‘t it sad that so often it takes facing death to appreciate life and each other fully?"

"One day I realized, without God, nothing matters. So, I asked Him into my heart."

Some people are just so beautiful and shine so bright.

"We trust and accept each other in a way that we can't trust and accept ourselves-through the living of each other's faults, we grow to become okay with our own."

Beautiful quote about friendship from one of Esther's friends.

The absolutely heartbreaking writings of a young girl with cancer, her family, and her friends. I'm about halfway done and it's crushing, but it's definitely worth a read.
