#ConflictedWorlds Day 20: #PersonVsTechnology. Fats‘ review: “it makes a bold statement – a brave declaration – on the value of books to society. Technology gets outdated over time. Books are books, no matter how many decades have gone by. It‘s a Book is a charming read, and it definitely deserves a spot in your bookshelf.” More here: https://wp.me/pDlzr-5K
Dropped by the library this morning to pick up some books for @LibrarianRyan ‘s #bbrc Birth & Beyond Reading Challenge, which starts on Monday. Think this might be fun. Also think these might not keep til Monday, so maybe I should tackle them now!
Quite surprised in what I found in my first, very hurried, raid of the picture book bins.
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Ps this book is not in the database?? 🤷🏽♀️
Just signed up for the #JustABookSwap by @TheBookKeepers and I love this idea! So many swaps require so much money but this is a simple give a book and get a book concept. I cant wait!
Meh. The concept is funny, and because my kids think swearing is hilarious, they were thrilled by the mild expletive at the end, but overall, it just doesn‘t work. It is weirdly formatted and very disjointed. Look, obviously I love books, but you don‘t get kids to read them by assuming they are idiots that don‘t understand that you can‘t text with a book.

(I highly recommend the board book version of this one, called It's a Little Book, for kiddos. Both mine love it, this one is not quite as great to be honest)
So proud of my niece... she read 450 minutes last month so let the book it celebration begin!!! I love that I get to pass my love of reading down to her!! The best part was that she wanted to bring a book with her to Pizza Hut!
I‘ve been “writing” a picture book (mostly - but not entirely - in my head) for the last few years & I think I finally had a breakthrough this morning in the shower (clearly the best place to think).
It‘s “about” Frankenstein, girl power, acceptance, nature, & a slew of other things I‘m not ready to talk about yet but...hell yeah! 🙌🏻 The essence of my breakthrough was: keep it simple, stupid! Which...of course. But, you know how it is.🤷♀️
My materials for certifying Book It completions for my son's school 😊📓📚
This flyer was in my mailbox today at school! Book-it brings back so many good memories!!!
I prefer paper books. The tactile and olfactory sensations are HIGHLY appealing to me. But my hands hurt, all the time. I cannot hold a book for very long, the bigger book the more pain. So ebooks are what I read. When I love a book, I then buy a paper copy, usually a paperback, so I have more shelf space. #bookishquestionoftheweek @BookishGirl06
It's here! It's here!!! How exciting!!

A quick and funny picture book about books and technology. It makes me chuckle every time I read it. #SpringFlingReading
I read this hilarious 21st century book in class prior to spring break. It makes me laugh every time I read it. At this point, the spring 2017 children's literature class has posted approximately 220 great books with fabulous resources! Read on! #ucflae3414sp17

A friend at work brought me this picture book to read during a lunch conversation the other day. It details the differences between physical books and electronic devices. It's fantastic.
Well, I thought I‘d love this, but it was just okay. Books! Books and animals!; this book should be exactly my cup of tea. Much to my surprise, I was disappointed in this book.
Two wonderful children's books. Seen Art and It's a Book by Lane Smith.

I like books. I can't help it. I do read e-books occasionally, mostly on my phone. E-reading makes me aware of how much I like to flip about in a book. And in general, I find I connect less with a book when I read it on a screen. That said, they can't be beat for the middle of the night. #seasonsreadings2016 @RealLifeReading
