How beautiful is this! The joy in recreating the simple little things.
How beautiful is this! The joy in recreating the simple little things.
The extraordinary patience of things!
We must uncenter our minds from ourselves
Reading for Earth Day. 💚
What a wonderful talent
That can create an entire Spring
With a brush and a sheet of paper.
If he would try poetry
I know he would be a master of words.

Love love love this poem!
By Anna Kamienska
Make the world continue
let the ocean kiss the sand just as before
❤️
In the night, in the wind, at the edge of the rain,
I find five irises, and call them lovely.
As if a woman, once, lay by them awhile,
then woke, rose, went, the memory of hair
lingers on their sweet tongues.
To irises, which maketh us happy! 💠

Four in the Morning by Wislawa Szymborska
"No one feels good at four in the morning.
If ants feel good at four in the morning
—three cheers for the ants. And let five o'clock come
if we're to go on living."
I'd never in my life thought of four o'clock in the morning as such, because i am 99.99% times in deep sleep then *touchwood*. But I truly understand how anxious can it be for some. Peace!
The blurb at the top of the poem: We're separated from nature as if by a glass wall—and this is the subject of this Polish poet, Adam Zagajewski. In this poem, people have their small security in a lighted house, but beyond the window, immeasurable spaces of cosmos stretch, and the moths are like visitors from other galaxies.

[..God is older than the sun and moon
and the eye cannot behold him
nor the voice describe him:
and still, this is the God Hermes, sitting by my hearth.]
Mentioned in the section titled 'Epiphany' in the tagged book, it's one of the strangest poems I have read.
Thanks @Chrissyreadit! So glad the rest of the parcel made it here!🎈
I am especially happy to be an owner of A Book of Luminous Things. Thank you! 💌 #favouritepoetswap
Ok so when I read the first line I misread it as
“She was buying an eclair”
And now I really want an eclair.
I don't read much poetry so this is one of the very few poetry books I own! This one is an interesting mix of poems and poets from around the world. #augustphotochallenge #augustofpages #poetry
I will forever love this anthology for introducing me to the poetry of Tu Fu. #poetryeverydamnday
Some Mary Oliver to soothe your soul. #poetryeverydamnday
As I've said before, I always try to be in the process of reading at least one book of poetry. I think I've been needing this volume's tender approach for a while. #poetryeverydamnday
