The Great Gloucestershire Flood 2007 | 
In some ways, 20th July 2007 was an #AmazingDay in Gloucestershire. Two months‘ worth of rain fell in a few hours. The drains couldn‘t cope, roads, railway lines and houses flooded, and towns were cut off. The county was totally unprepared for it. The army were mobilised to distribute water bottles when the local water treatment plant flooded, and the electricity substation had to be pumped out by the fire service!
