pickCharacters were okay but some were a bit flat and even though one of them died I couldn't feel as much as I would have wanted.
I really loved the setting and atmosphere! This had quite gothic atmosphere and I adored it. There didn't were unnecessary drama either.
I also liked how there was romance but it was somehow so smooth and not at all super dramatic.

If I could give this book 0 stars, I would. The plot was all over the place. The first 150 pages were very well written, but as it got closer and closer to the end, it literally felt like the “fallen angel” concept was thrown in all at once. It was hard to find a rhythm while reading this because Luce had absolutely no development, and that lead to there being no context behind the climax.

In the book the author starts off describing the setting of the book as a dark and misunderstood night. The author gives off a disappointing and sad tone during this scene Causing the reader to feel the emotional longing
The literal meaning of Fallen is going downward like falling down. The connotation of the word means the main characters keep falling in a continuous circle of sin once they succumb to their desires indicating they‘re Fallen humans.
pickI've been meaning to start these and I happened to find fallen at the library... The movie was so bad but I always knew it had to be a great story. I enjoyed the book but I did feel like at points toward the end, she should've just gotten to the point! Rambled a little. I'm gonna start the next one soon. 4/5🍪
panI wanted to like it. I mean look at that beautiful cover! Nothing made sense. I get that some things can‘t be revealed (it‘s a series), but there were no explanations about anything. There are details missing about why she‘s at the reforms school. Why is everyone else there (knowing what we find out later in the book)? The one thing revealed at the end, was not a real unveiling. Read the book title. Overall it was disappointing. ⭐️⭐️
I‘ve heard some people say this book is boring, but honestly I found it quite intriguing. Actually is really normal for me to like what other people dislikes.

I posted yesterday about high school students getting books for a free reading project. This girl has never checked a book out from the library before, but made a point of coming in this morning to tell me that she was up until 1am reading, was already 105 pages on and it's the best book shes ever read - then she sat in the library and didn't look up from the pages for almost an hour. It made my day! 😊😊😊

My feeling at the end was that Lauren Kate should‘ve kept this as one book and really focused on the story that happens in this book, instead the ending is unresolved for the sake of sequel and incredibly underwhelming. 😔
pickStill working on my #rereadchallenge of all my owned books. This book has a very Twilight like feel to it, but instead of vampires and werewolves you have angels and demons (although all fallen). It‘s a very easy read and still enjoyable many years later. This series is a keeper for me.
pickI loved this book. I strongly relate to Lyce, the main character and am totally swooning over both the love interests. Such a gothic and dark feel, which means I loved it twice as much. The storyline was so interesting and I definitely didn't expect it. I think there is a movie of it, so I might look into it...
