I found this on my kindle last night and vaguely recalled reading it in HS. I can't remember what I thought of it then but it I found it creepy and intriguing last night. I'm glad I reread it.

Book 202🎧 3.5⭐️
Quick but very good! Only 50m. Originally from 1924! So definitely super spooky for it‘s time!
I‘m not sure how I have never read this delightful short story, but I‘m glad I have now! Is it a bit ridiculous? Sure. That doesn‘t stop it from being a fun little look at civility and savagery. That‘s right, I said “and” and not “versus.” 😂☺️ Rainsford is washed ashore on an island with a host who is interested in hunting the most dangerous game. What could he mean? If you haven‘t read this one yet, enjoy!
Week 4 of #TheMidnightSociety begins today! This week we‘re reading Richard Connell‘s unbelievable tale of terror — and my favorite short story — “The Most Dangerous Game.” Hope you‘ll join us at www.theannakraft.com!

The first story I thought of was this, where the predator is a human and he goes hunting on his island for HUMANS, those shipwrecked, with little chance of escape.
Read it in English class back ten years and can still recall the sensation it impressed upon me.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Oh my word, this was sooo good!! I am so shook that I am shooketh 😱😱😱
A reread from high school. So much characterization and adventure eloquently written into a little novella. A thrilling, thought-provoking, quick read. How would you handle finding yourself on an island that everyone steers clear of for their own safety, but there are no first hand accounts in regards to why?
Knocking a couple of the shorter reads out this week! I don‘t remember which #murderino I saw suggest this for Murdery Short Story square (sorry!) but it was a great call! I remember reading this when I was younger and loved the second read! Thanks @shanebeth for putting together the #ssdgmchallenge so I could reread these greats!
Random recommendation from my Uber driver. I've never read it but it feels like I should have. #recommendsday
What happens when one loses their moral compass.
This took less than an hour to read. What a great story! The ending was surprising. I‘m interested to know what short stories do you like? I also read the Monkey‘s Paw with my son last year for his English class. That was great. Comment below your favorite short stories. I would love to read them.
My son read this in his 8th grade English class. He liked it and thought I would too. So I‘m going to read it real fast before he has to turn it back in.
I saw @shanebeth read this for the #MFM reading challenge. I remembered it from HS & thought I‘d do the same. Definitely a murdery short story! #ssdgm #ssdgmchallenge #murderino
ticking off my first box for the Murderino challenge with a short story I vaguely remember reading as a freshman in high school. it‘s a little bit Hunger Games and Black Mirror, and a whole lot murdery. #ssdgmchallenge #murderino #shortstory
Read this in high school and found it dark and delightful.
