In 2018, I finished 121 books! Way higher than any year for me since I've started tracking my reading. I'm proud of myself. I completed the #booked2018 challenge and made a pretty good dent in the #ssdgmchallenge.

My #18in2018 are shown above. This was the year of amazing nonfiction for me- I can't choose between Columbine, Killers of the Flower Moon, The Indifferent Star Above, and I'll Be Gone in the Dark as my favorite for the year!

Cinfhen Fantastic year!!!! 6y

I listened to the audio version of this book, which I typically do with autobiographies. I give this book about 3 stars, I was not blown away by it but I did enjoy the concept of saying yes to everything and her discussing Christina Yang.

I read this for the “Endorsed by Karen” square of the #ssdgmchallenge. This may be the last one I get in before the end of the year. I will probably finish the rest in 2019 unless there‘s a new challenge! ❤️

Crooked House | Agatha Christie

This was my book by Agatha Christie for the Murderino Reading Challenge #ssdgmchallenge so thanks #whodunnitthesequel folks :) I know I have read this book before, but I didn‘t remember much about it, so I was happy to revisit it! It is an excellent example of Christie‘s work, even though it didn‘t feature one of the main detectives.

bookwrm526 @Jess_Read_This I‘ll get this one in the mail to you tomorrow!! @Librarybelle (edited) 6y

Yessss this was so great. A true crime classic to be sure. Beautiful writing, a fascinating story- it really shows the literary side of nonfiction. I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves true crime, nonfiction, or lovely sentences. Probably covers just about everybody!

Read this for the True Crime Classic square in the Murderino #ssdgmchallenge @shanebeth

Ashley_Nicoletto I have this from the library right now. Going to start it next. 6y
cathysaid Loved this...which seems a bit odd to say given the subject matter. You might also like 6y

This one has been on my TBR for a while and I needed a book for the Murderino challenge with forest in the title, so I picked it up. I was...underwhelmed? Some aspects of the world were intriguing, but in the end I didn‘t really feel like rooting for any of the characters. I don‘t mind unlikeable characters but I need ONE I can get behind! Can‘t decide if I‘ll continue the series or not. #ssdgmchallenge

Gissy The book was so-so but the photo is beautiful! 😍 6y
bookwrm526 @Gissy thank you 😊 that‘s the one plus side to having an early class every day this semester! 6y

Halloween Party | Agatha Christie

I could have sworn I already read an Agatha Christie book for the #ssdgmchallenge but my trusty board says otherwise🤷🏼‍♀️

Hallowe‘en Party was pretty good, I‘m not typically disappointed when reading Christie but this was one of my least favorite Poirot stories.

bridge12 Also, Bingo? 🤣 6y

This book was phenomenal! I haven‘t been able to gush about it enough to my friends. I honestly wish this was around when I was in high school and was required reading, which I think it should be now. Grann does a wonderful job telling history and trying to connect the dots, it almost seems fictional! Love this book! ❤️

I am all over the board for the #ssdgmchallenge but marked this off as True Crime Published 17-18 square. @shanebeth

Lovesbooks87 It was really good and so sad. I had never heard about it until I read the book! 6y

Knocking a couple of the shorter reads out this week! I don‘t remember which #murderino I saw suggest this for Murdery Short Story square (sorry!) but it was a great call! I remember reading this when I was younger and loved the second read! Thanks @shanebeth for putting together the #ssdgmchallenge so I could reread these greats!

Longform True Crime Article marked off my #ssdgmchallenge. I actually got the idea to read the GQ article about Dylann Roof by @callielafleur great read, thank you for the idea! #murderino #ssdgm @shanebeth #Charleston

claffy_reads Nice! What did you read for your female detective thriller? That's a square I've been trying to mark off! 6y
bridge12 @callielafleur I read Two Girls Down for that square. It was pretty good, nothing too thrilling but I read it quickly and enjoyed the main character enough! 6y
