pickI read this over the weekend & there is frankly not a mediocre story in the volume. I was already somewhat familiar with a few of the selections due to the movie adaptation, but it was nice to read the source material. The standouts for me were “The Yattering & Jack“ (now that I think about it this had a bit of a Good Omens vibe, but in a good way) “Pig Blood Blues“ (WTF. WTF) & “In The Hills, The Cities (I repeat, WTF). It has been a bit👇
vivastory since I have read Barker & I had almost forgotten his ability to turn a good phrase & really get under the reader's skin in a more sophisticated way than a simple jump scare. Good stuff. I will be reading volume 2 soon. 2y
