About a boy who has always been fascinated by the dot on his mothership forehead and learns of the magic it can bring you when you wear it.

A young Indian boy is fascinated by his mom's bindi and wants to wear one himself. His mom helps him understand the significance of a bindi and instead of belittling him for wanting to have one (bindis are worn only by women), she supports his interest. This picture book is a delight. I liked learning about bindis through these pages and seeing what they meant to this little kid and his mom. #Picturebook #RepresentationMatters #Hindu

The Boy and the Bindi is a really sweet look about what wearing a Bindi means to this young boy. The gentle rhymes are lovely and the illustrations are lovely. An unexpectedly joyful find.

These are just SOME of the really generous donations of queer and trans books for all ages that the wonderful Arsenal Pulp Press donated to Out On The Shelves, the LGBTQ2IA library I co-run in Vancouver. So excited!! #QueerBooks #TransBooks

Jabberwocky So I am firmly a femme, but my partner read Butch is a noun a few years ago and said it was life changing 7y
CaseyTheCanadianLesbrarian @Jabberwocky It was one of the first queer books I read in the year or two after coming out and it was quite influential on me too! I think if you date / like butches it's a must-read as well as for butches themselves. 7y
