Tricked
Tricked: The Iron Druid Chronicles, Book Four | Kevin Hearne
Druid Atticus OSullivan hasnt stayed alive for more than two millennia without a fair bit of Celtic cunning. So when vengeful thunder gods come Norse by Southwest looking for payback, Atticus, with a little help from the Navajo trickster god Coyote, lets them think that theyve chopped up his body in the Arizona desert. But the mischievous Coyote is not above a little sleight of paw, and Atticus soon finds that hes been duped into battling bloodthirsty desert shapeshifters called skinwalkers. Just when the Druid thinks hes got a handle on all the duplicity, betrayal comes from an unlikely source. If Atticus survives this time, he vows he wont be fooled again. Famous last words.

In this novel, Atticus O'Sullivan, a 2,000-year-old Druid, teams up with the Navajo trickster god Coyote to fake his death and avoid the wrath of Norse gods. All around fun story!

Atticus fakes his death & owes a trickster god. It‘s time to pay up.

Skin walkers, vampires, a giant locust.

A cool powerful shaman, Druid apprentice, cool Irish wolfhound.

Action, supernatural, sword work.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2

I continue to love this series. I can't wait for my audible credits to hit so I can keep going! I also love Luke Daniels' narration. I'm going to have to look up what other books he's done.

Loved learning about a new set of gods and weaving some new mythology into the larger story. Also nice to see the "hero" character come up against something that whose ass he can't kick right away. And I'd really love to reach into the pages and punch Coyote in his trickster face but that particular technology hasn't been invented yet. Audiobook narrator Luke Daniels continues to knock it out of the park. Onto book five!

One of my favorites in the series. I enjoy learning about the Gods of the Native which I do not know a lot about. Ton of laughs in this one

Riveted_Reader_Melissa It's such a fun series, I love the way it plays with different pantheons! My recommendation for more fun reads, with some native myth included.... try Mercy Thompson if you haven't already by Patricia Briggs 8y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa Or Kate Daniels by Ilona Andrews with manages to play with a lot of different pantheons.... 8y
DuckOfDoom I'm still waiting for a printed collection of short stories. They look really fun 8y
