PUCKED Up
PUCKED Up: The Pucked Series #2 | Helena Hunting
10 posts | 33 read | 6 to read
Miller Buck Butterson has been banging his way through life ever since a puck to the face fixed his messed up front teeth. After five years in the NHL, deflecting goals on the ice and scoring them with puck bunnies, Miller has decided hes ready for a girlfriend. A real, non-bunny girlfriend to take on dates, and not jump into bed with after five seconds of conversation.Miller thinks hes found that woman in his teammates sister. Except, unlike team captain and all-around nice guy Alex Waterswho happens to date his stepsister, Millers media reputation as a manwhore is well earned. Beyond that minor detail, Miller doesnt know the first thing about relationships or the time and effort they require. Miller learnseventuallythat if he wants to make Sunshine Sunny Waters fall for him, he's going to have to do a whole lot more than show her his stick skills in the bedroom.

OMG I don't know why I loved this so much, but I did. It is such a smutty romance novel, but I still loved it. If I had time,I would pick up the next in the series.

Let‘s try this again... Sorry, our internet has been wonky and Litsy wouldn‘t connect.

1) Romance

2) I placed two Book Outlet orders in early March when they started their 15% off sale, before things began to get rapidly worse. They were things for my entire family, and birthday presents for myself. I also received my preorder of So This Is Love.

I‘m super wasted.

😂😂😂

I feel like this is fitting for the way most of us would like to be handling this world crisis.

Really enjoying this series, trashy romance that has great stories. Buck is probably my favorite. This book deals with a lot of his struggles and I love how they embrace his dyslexia and showed how he copes. I was diagnosed very young and thankfully had a tutor who developed my love of reading and got me over most of my struggles (I still can't spell very well) so it really designated with me. Over all a great read and I'm enjoying this series.

Umm...so yeah I may be addicted to this series. The series is set between Chicago and Toronto and involves hockey. Sign me up!

This one isn‘t as good as the 1st one but it‘s good.

This is the second book in the series, which should definitely be read in order even though they are separate characters. Buck is such a fascinating person whom you were introduced to in the last book. The story is told completely from his point of view. It was a first for me to have a m/f romance told completely from the male's pov but it worked perfectly. (Cont in comments)

TsundokuAleax He is such a sweetheart who just keeps ending up in bad situations despite his best efforts. Seeing him earnestly try so hard and yet be constantly set back was heartfelt and kinda sad to watch. Seeing the big lug go through such a great journey was hilarious as Hunting always does and also touching. 6y

The 2nd book in the Pucked series, while described as stand alone, the characters are intertwined throughout each book. I recommend reading them in.

Miller is a professional hockey player who thoroughly reaps the rewards and benefits that stardom provides. He‘s a major player until he meets Sunny, realizing it‘s a relationship he wants most of all, but his reputation haunts him. I found that the drama overshadowed the romantic content for me.

Mehso-so

Why so-so? Because I've now read 3 of the books in this series, and the characters are universally obsessed by intimate hair removal. Plot points spring from a waxer on vacation. It's a constant source of fascination. If a woman is vegan, is she 'natural'? (Gasp) Not just girls--the hero's body hair is repeatedly mentioned, not to mention a long scene in which he explains the three settings he uses to shave his balls. Really??? #romantsy. #romance

LeahBergen 😂😂 This gave me a good laugh!!! 8y

LeahBergen And I'm STILL laughing here ... I think because I just bought my husband a new hair trimmer last week WITH THREE SETTINGS. 😂😂 8y
mllemay That kind of discussion will turn me off from a romance novel so fast!! 😒😒😒 8y

Magdawrites Hahaha 8y
BookNAround Does anyone worry about removing their unwanted chin hair? Because that's the only hair obsession I'm interested in reading and learning more about. 😂 8y
BookNAround I should add, that's probably more a horror story than a romance though. 😜 8y
Megaled Hahaha well maybe it's more a hair removal guide haha 8y
balletbookworm "Shave his balls" was not the phrase I expected that sentence to end with ???? 8y
writerlibrarian That would make close this book so fast. 😲 8y

LeahBergen And I must add that the trimmer I bought for the husband? He uses the three settings for the hair on his head. I'll have to tell him he is doing it all wrong. 😂 8y
bernadette This made me laugh but Wait. Did I read it correctly - that the characters in all three books of the series are obsessed with hair removal? 8y
Reggie Lolololol 8y
Reggie Thank you for this, after finishing my book earlier I needed this. 8y
EloisaJames @bernadette yes! It's bizarre. 8y
Chachic I read Pucked and couldn't really get into it. 8y
