Is this fantasy?
My book is very nice and I love my book 💔💔💔
I don‘t think this is what I expected. I had this hyped way too much and it was very simple. I‘ll get over it and keep it for the pretty cover.
This journal from #covertocover Round One came today from @Kangaj1 I loved loved loved reading what others wrote about The Neverland Wars. So many perspectives. I even wrote again in the journal (including a question for @sammisho ). Thanks @Marmie7 Now to curl up with the Round Two book.
Well, this is a thing I read.
I‘m struggling with how I feel about it. The writing is not great, the characters are vague and underdeveloped, and the plot is all over the place.
Still, I have always loved Peter Pan, and I like the idea of this book—it needed to be polished and fleshed out a lot more. Once I started reading, I couldn‘t stop, and I will read the next book. 🤞🏻 that this is a series that gets better as it goes.

Magic can do a lot—give you flight, show you mermaids, help you taste the stars, and… solve the budget crisis? That's what the grown-ups will do with it if they ever make it to Neverland to steal its magic and bring their children home...The war between Neverland and reality has just begun...

Still trying to decide how I feel on this. Any Peter Pan re-telling is ok with me but definitely at the beginning the author seemed to be throwing in words that didn't fit with the tone of the story just to get some 'big' words in there. Good concept, could have been longer and had more detail to bring it up a notch.
Oh my gosh @Captivatedbybooks ! 😍
We're a little late to the opening club for #theretellingbookswap but look at my goodies ! So happy with my box and we've become pen pals now as well ! This is why I adore Litsy so much 💕
Thank you Nicole for organising this ✨#bookswap
Time to read! Made tea and fresh scones to go with my clotted cream this morning.
Went to the farmers market this morning. Pretty excited for the bacon and strawberries.
What a great extension of Peter Pan!! I loved every little detail given about Neverland and Peter and The Lost Children and the mermaids... Fantastic descriptions, great writing, loved the characterizations and conflicts.
Panda is as unimpressed with this book as I am. I'm on the verge of DNFing this. I've nearly thrown it against the wall a few times. #litcube
I highly encourage all fan girls out there to, at some point, go write your own #bookboyfriend. It is the best thing ever. #Jay #theneverlandwars #romance #love #nationalbookboyfriendday #stillinlovewiththisstory
Before I post anymore of the books I'm enjoying, I have to show The Neverland Wars some love! so grateful to be joining Litsy not just as a reader, but as an author too.
If you love fairytale retellings, Peter Pan, or modern fantasy, this YA adventure is calling to you!
I'm torn between pick and so-so... I enjoyed the book but there could of been more and it felt a bit off. But over all it was a good, interesting, and fast read. Not sure if I'll continue the series. (We'll see how interested I am in February when book 2 comes out)
Yay for book mail! My #litcube came today... I can't even decide what I like the best this time! Not pictured: the yummy blueberry tart that was devoured by my kids before I could get a photo. 😳
LitCube! Theme is "An awfully big adventure" & for the readable it is The Neverland Wars w/ a signed bookplate, for the wearable it is a spoon ring that says "Faith, Trust, Pixie Dust", the edible is a blueberry tart, & it also came with a REALLY nice Peter Pan quote tote bag that zips & has a pocket, a Tinkerbell Keychain, a beautiful "Never Grow Up" print, & a bonus set of bibliophile sunglasses as a thank you! #july #litcube #bookmail #peterpan
This book had an amazing plot which left you in shambles and in hope. Unfortunately at points the book could be confusing and made you want to reread parts . But all together it was worth the read!❤️💛💚💙💜
Wow. I am in desperate need of the next book! It was a great read
"Mighty words to speak of a girl on the ground, when you are suspended in a net." "From down here, she and the jackrabbit look like the smartest of all of you."
