I finally finished the last story. I would consider this a solid pick with two exceptions. (TW)One had a bully using derogatory language including cognitive slurs. I think it was meant to be jarring, but I would have preferred words like asshole to what was used. The second story just wasn‘t my preference. The majority of stories were great- and very very different from each other. I am so glad I found this analogy.

slategreyskies She‘s done several really interesting anthologies with contributors like Neil Gaiman in some of them, if I remember correctly. I think some of them are retellings of fairy tales. I have a few of them on Kindle, but they‘ve been just hanging out on my TBR and not being read. I‘ll have to choose one and bump it up the list a bit. :) 3y

I saw this on a library shelf and grabbed it on a whim- but I LOVE it! I‘m upset I picked it up this morning instead of Sat- I‘ve flown through 250 pages but have to go to work. I do not always love short stories but these are exactly what I like- Fae from different cultural perspectives, and each one different and wonderful sometimes creepy, sometimes funny. @HOTPock3tt I think you would def enjoy this and I‘m tagging my other fantasy friends

This was a lovely anthology; I love that the editors asked the authors to write faeries into our contemporary cultures to explore how they would adjust or if they even could. The stories range not only in style and setting but from light-hearted and fun, to chilling or saddening. There is a story for everyone here.

llwheeler Lol the book closest to me is From Alpha to Omega and p238 is a vocab list of numbers haha. Doctor Who is the only number character I can think of off the top of my head though I'm sure there are others 7y
