Another intriguing and confusing addition to the series. Confusing, in a good way, as you're never sure what will happen next. Lots of character development for Lynly and Havers as well.

My #bookhaul from the library today.
Do I have 4 books I'm in the middle of? Yes.
Do I have 2 successive books to read afterwards? Also, yes.
Do I regret bringing home another stack? Absolutely not. 😂
Elizabeth George has a Whiskey🐾💖🥃! This is a 610 page tome #17 in the Inspector Lynley mysteries. Lots of subplots in this one- not much mystery but as always she has characters and places down pat. Major theme is children- wanting them, not wanting them, hurting them, loving them, overprotecting them and losing them. #Booked2018 read a book over 600pages @jessberk13
My next commute listen - Davina Porter always does an excellent job of narration on the Lynley mysteries!
#FunFridayPhoto Elizabeth George can always be counted on to publish a big book. There's a few authors that always write doorstops of books, Karin Slaughter, Robert Jordan, Stephen King & Kate Morton are a few others. I love me a big book. If a book is tiny, it's over too quickly, I read too fast to appreciate a small novel. The bigger it is, the longer I get to immerse myself in the story.
Next up in crime is Elizabeth George who writes the Inspector Lynley series. Thomas Lynley is a peer of the realm, who's turned his back on his rich upbringing to become a detective at Scotland Yard. Along with Sergeant Barbra Havers, they investigate murders all over the U.K. Huge fan of this,5⭐️
A little brain candy goes a long way... Always like a visit with Thomas, Simon, Deborah, and Barbara. Rare that I like that many characters in a series.
Rainy day = reading day. Onto a murder mystery. Hopefully Lynley, St. James, and Deborah are able to help me avoid the outdoors.
