This is the sequel to the book The Day the Crayons Quit, this book is all about where the crayons went and how they are making their way back to Duncan. However, all the crayons have a story of what happened when they were away from Duncan.
This is the cutest, entertaining F book for young learners. Each color is a unique character that needs to be saved by their owner, Duncan. This is such a good book for a PR in the classroom, AND it also glows in the dark which makes it even better!
This book is the winner of over 60 national and international awards, including the coveted E.B. White Read-Aloud Award.

Saturday morning reading party (mommy's book tagged in the comments) with the Toddlersaurus.
Laugh out loud funny for children and adults!
While it is a sequel book to The Day the Crayons Quit, it can also 100% stand alone, and can also be read more than once! My class has heard it at least ten times, and still do not tire of it.
The crayons are all frustrated with the way Duncan has treated them but have decided they want to be home... illustrations in this children‘s book are top notch!
I HAD to read the sequel, The Day the Crayons Came Home (F, Goodreads Choice Award) by Drew Daywalt and illustrated by Oliver Jeffers. I love how this follows the same letter-writing format, but follows the same bunch of crayons over a storyline. So I figured, why not have my students do it? #LAE3414sp19
#TimbitTunes Day 16: #CarryMeHome says these wandering crayons. The story consists of a series of postcards sent by crayons who happen to be missing, left to melt out in the sun, or lost in the basement. I like the idea of an ode to the forgotten, the misplaced, the broken crayons who are asking to be rediscovered. My review: https://wp.me/pDlzr-j2m
I found this book after really enjoying hearing the first one in class. This is a sequel to the book The Day the Crayons Quit. I love this book and finding out more about why certain crayons weren‘t happy with Duncan. Read the story to find out about new crayons like Neon Red and Pea Green and what they‘ve been up to since leaving Duncan‘s crayon box. It‘s such a cute follow up to the first book. #UCFLAE3414
A creative (F) book written by Drew Daywalt and Oliver Jeffers. Duncan‘s crayons are colorful bunch of characters! Having mended the hurt feelings of one group who threaten to quit, Duncan now faces a new group of crayons asking to be rescued! #UCFLAE3414SP18
I would use this Modern Fantasy (F) book for a Read Aloud (RA). It‘s a story about crayons who got lost, forgotten and broken that now want to go back home to their owner. This is such a cute book that can show students feelings in a fun way. It goes along with the book The Day the Crayons Quit. This book has won the Goodreads Choice Awards Best Picture Book.

This is such a cute fiction PB about crayons that won the goodreads choice award best picture books. These crayons are all over the world writing to their owner Duncan who has either used them to much or haven‘t used the color at all. They all want to be used and respected for the color that they are. This would be the perfect book for storytelling because while telling the story you can give each of the crayons their own voice.
The Day the Crayons Came Home is an amazing follow up to The Day the Crayons Quit. It is written by Drew Daywalt and illustrated by Oliver Jeffers. This Goodreads Choice Awards Best Picture Books winner is about the crayons coming back home and all of the things that they have experienced will away. This book would be great to read aloud (RA) to the class. #UCFLAE3414F17
The Day the Crayons Came Home is a sequel to The Day the Crayons Quit. It is a F PB written and illustrated by Drew Daywalt and Oliver Jeffers that I would use as a RA. This book was definitely just as fun as the first one and I think it would be a great book to have in the classroom. I love the personification and so will the students.
Book mail woohoo! Only one thing for me... nah who am I kidding whilst I'm reading the bed time stories I'm choosing the bed time stories! Excited to see what the crayons have been up to, what Julia and Axel's new book is like and I think my little boy will be very excited by the real letters and postcards inside Dear Dinosaur (that ones going away for Xmas!) Even more excited about Ghosts it's been on my TBR for ages!!
Seems appropriate now that we're finally in *our* new home. Love my boys! 😍😍😍 #raisingreaders
Ada: "The crayons leave home, but then they feel bad and go back. A lot of funny stuff happens while they try to go home. The neon red crayon doesn't know much about other cities, so she doesn't know where she is. I've been to other places before – like grandma's house in Idaho. If I could go anywhere, I would go to Spain."
My 7 year old grandson reading this wonderful book to my 3 year old grandson, his cousin.
I've been enjoying seeing which books you are all choosing to give as gifts! This is a page from the adorable book I'm giving to my 4 year old niece. Also enjoyed the first book in the series. Great books for classroom read-alouds, I think. #givingbooks
I was never a big fan of the Day the Crayons Quit, but this book might make me a convert. Duncan‘s crayons have sent him postcards because they want to come home. These postcards are pretty funny too. The only downturn for this book is that it's a little too long to read for story time. However, I could see a great program with old post cards and crayons.
There's a glow-in-the-dark picture in this delightful follow-up to "The Day the Crayons Quit." Sometimes we're all crayons trying to find our way home after life's challenges.
