It is a while since I read bk 7 so had forgotten the very black humour in this very good series set in Aberdeen so it took me 100 pages to get really back into the world but once I did I was away again as DI Mcrae aided (?) by the wonderfully crude DCI Steele finds that when a satanic film is being produced in the city murders start mirroring the plot line. Definitely a favourite Scottish series so won't be as long to get to bk 9.

I thought that this was a brilliant book that was written so well and completely got me hooked on it
If you are looking for a thriller that will capture your attention, not let it go and make you think about the novel when you are away from it, makes you want to even leave work and curl back up with the book then I would definitely recommend this series and I cant wait to read the rest of the series!
