Still not great, but better than the first one. I liked that the story actually got into the vampire lore of the world. The first book had so little about vampires I was finding myself getting g bored.

I really enjoyed reading the original Vampire Diaries books; lots of fun! And I had watched the early seasons of the show, but then fell off.

Okay so hear me out..the protagonist isn‘t someone I find appealing The cliché blond head, blue eyes damsel in distress but also the popular bully doesn‘t keep up with the times and I‘d definitely prefer someone more strong willed and confident but also nice
I have no idea why I liked this the first time I read it but I‘m going to keep an open mind going in to the next one. Sorry #tvd fans.
