Learn Cursive Handwriting
Learn Cursive Handwriting | Jenny Pearson
2 posts | 2 to read
This 170-page cursive handwriting instruction workbook is designed to appeal to all ages, even teenagers or adults. Labeled illustrations demonstrate how to write each cursive letter one stroke at a time. Find handwriting tips to help write and recognize tricky cursive letters. Practice writing all of the uppercase and lowercase cursive letters. Practice cursive handwriting by copying words or sentences onto blank lines. Exercises will help you memorize the cursive alphabet. The content is suitable for all ages, including tweens, teens, or adults. One way is that the blank lines are spaced 3/8 inches, which is narrower than most kids' writing workbooks. Another way is that there aren't any childish images designed to interest bored kids (some kids who are academically oriented appreciate this, too - it makes them feel like they are doing 'real' work).

It is sad to me that we don‘t even teach this anymore... #cursive #biblioMAYnia @OriginalCyn620 @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks

Sace My students struggle to READ cursive. Bye bye historical research of original documents... 5y
TEArificbooks One of the big reasons we switched my kids school to a private school. They still teach cursive and expect the kids to write in it after they learn. 5y
OriginalCyn620 I agree! 5y

mydearwatson As far as I know, they still do teach it. They did at the school I worked at, anyway. 5y
audraelizabeth I never knew how much some of my letters are very improper. 5y
Cheshirecat913 I have always been in schools that taught it too. Starting from 2006 when I student taught, so I never quite understood why everyone said it is not taught. It isn't a huge emphasis in the 3 states I have taught in, but it was still there. 5y
Kshakal @mydearwatson @Cheshirecat913 I have taught for 8 years and it is not taught in my school 😞 5y

Day 30 - #Cursive #BiblioMaynia
#LearnCursiveHandwriting #JennyPearson

I learned cursive writing in Catholic grade school. My daughters tease me about my Catholic writing!

CafeMom My son learned to write cursive in elementary school. When he got to middle school the school discouraged it. Now everything is done on computer. I think it is a dying art. 5y
EadieB @CafeMom That is probably true! Haven't thought about it but we really don't write that much as everything is typed today. 5y

tracey38 I will still use cursive sometimes. 5y
EadieB @tracey38 I always use cursive as I really have to think about printing as I never learned how to print. I always use capital letters when I print as small letters make me think too hard. lol 5y
JenniferP I took advantage of distance learning to teach my elementary school age boys cursive! They've had fun with it. 5y
EadieB @JenniferP That's great! It's almost like an art class as you have to draw the letters. 5y
